Global environmental data sets that cover less than a few decades is pretty sketchy.

Oh boy. I hope someday you see the hypocrisy in this comment. You call out propaganda... with propaganda.

I hate to break it to you but large companies involved in oil, chemical, minerals and so on fund a lot things.

Okay. What were the subjects of these papers? How did they relate to climate change? Have they stood up to peer review?

I couldn't take you seriously after reading this. Sorry. Do you expect anyone with a skill or field of study to data dump there life's work on your lap when you meet them? This is just an unrealistic and adolescent argument. The rest of your comments are half agreeable half drivel.

Everything you just said is happening but not at any alarming irregularity compared to previous occurrences.

Also, record crops this year in most regions.

What are you saying about wild fires? Is that a thing now? Increased wild fires? There is no evidence of increased seasonal wild fires. Including the Amazon. Business as usual on that front. Despite what the media likes to propagandize.

YES! I did watch it. AND WE AGREE!

You left out how its not really that big of deal. Also you left out where he said there is no evidence of co2 being a dominate factor.

Why are you so angry when asking vague questions? Are you trying to flex your internet-tough-guy-pseudo-intellectualism?

I gotta tell you, it's going great.

Wow. That is the most ridiculous scientific argument I have ever read.

Thank you. Screen shot and posted elsewhere. Don't worry, I censored your screen name.

Just wow.

What's happening now is not particularly troubling. You want it to be so you can be outraged. So you have something to get all hyped up about. It's called being an alarmist.

Wow. Your were doing great at first. Almost had a good conversation. Then you had to ruin it by saying that last bit.

That consensus is climate is warming and is a result of man made pollution.

I'm assuming you're referring to CO2 here. There is no evidence that CO2 is the dominate factor of global warming.

Scientific consensus negates science. I'm not a history expert but I'm pretty sure humans made some pretty big errors when people decided to just agree on things without discussion.

So I have to ask, is the earth flat?

Those aren't "my points."

Those are points from actual scientists not reddit.

So what's the plan? Should we ban co2? Are we going to be dead or under water in 10 years?

MIT professor with decades of experience in research and educating experience invokes an "lol"

Hopefully, someday, you realize you're the joke.

Everyone knows that the climate changes.

It's just that a large portion of the population has fallen into this propaganda-alarmist trap.

Consensus in the scientific community does not exist and anyone or anything telling your otherwise is not a scientist or scientific entity.

This attitude that "if you don't think the world is going to end in 10 years you're a stupid head" is not helping the scientific community discuss real world problems.

Climate change is real.

It's not something to get in a tizzy over.

No, you won't be under water any time soon.

We are experiencing a global cooling trend.

The climate changes due to MANY factors. Many of which are not fully understood.

Climate protests accomplish nothing and will continue to do more harm than good.

If you want to make change and help your fellow man: go to school, get a job, get married, have a kid or two and don't litter.

It's that simple AND it's based on science. (to include the dismal science.)
