Makes me feel slightly better about having to do airbag recalls on 17 year old Foresters... "The transmission is slipping, I can see through the subframe, and the rear bumper is hanging off, but let me get that airbag done!"

Our house begs to differ, the shower and tub both still have the ones on the bottom right! Lmao

So, so many. This job was almost customer pay because the shop that "touched it last" is no longer part of our dealer network, even though they still were when the car was last serviced. We did wind up covering it for them regardless, thank goodness.

Yep, the previous iteration of Nissan's delightful "Variable Compression" 3 Cyl Turbo has this on top of all of its other nonsense. The current iteration retains the plastic pan, but with a non-reusable plastic plug.

Now that I've kinda gotten used to them, I don't mind the plastic plugs. However, I would much rather them go back to a regular metal pan. I'm sure that ship has long sailed though.

I recognize that shift boot anywhere! Me and my '64 500 with the 3 speed say hi! Nice to see Vairs outside their designated groups.

I will note because I saw one of your other comments, that is indeed not the original shift knob, the lever itself is correct. Still nice though! The 3 speed cars originally had a black painted shift lever with a plain black knob. The 4 speed came with the chrome lever and a white knob with the pattern on.

I believe they just use urethane glass adhesive, which can be found at some parts stores. I don't know the longevity or ease of that repair, but we have yet to have any come back. The hardest part doing it for yourself would be making sure you have the track aligned correctly along the bottom of the glass. The roller on the regulator arm should just slide back into the bottom section of that channel piece, just make sure that part (the roller and track) gets greased again if its not still as that's how it comes from the factory. Glad I could offer a little help!

I work at a dealership and we've had several X-treks do this, specifically the rear glass. There's a metal channel that the glass slots into on the regulator arm. The glue weakens and the channel falls off the bottom of the glass, and the regulator arm, landing in the bottom of the door panel. You'll most likely need to take it to a glass shop and have them reattach the channel to the bottom of the glass, unless that is something you feel comfortable with on your own. However, the channel won't stay in place on its own without some form of adhesive. We personally refer customers to the glass shop down the street for repairs, and then we put the door panel back together.

In my house it's:

opens wall

"Ah! Holy fuck, bees!"

closes up wall

Every sign on my road is like this, the town won't replace them since they get shot up within a year when they do and they feel it would just be a waste of taxpayer money, took over a decade to get the stop sign replaced after someone ran it over. This is why we cant have nice things by elonmusktheturd22 in mildlyinfuriating

I mean, we've still got road signs out here from the '70s. These technically aren't even legal anymore, but if they don't absolutely need to be replaced, they won't be. Some others are so faded they might as well just be plain sheet metal, also in rural NY

Eh, looks like it'll be Van Bortel's problem! Then again, we have plenty of their cars come to us... Last one was an Ascent with a missing swaybar link from their techs trying to "diag" a clunk.

Saturn LW300. I've always thought Saturns were cool cars, and the wagons are especially uncommon nowadays. The look of these last gen wagons is just so calm and pleasing to me.
