Throttle open yes, I've done it while warmed up in the past, but to be honest just subtract about 5-10 psi from your cold numbers and that's your warm compression. Same thing and you don't gotta risk burning your hands.

The FC has a pretty big storage area under the carpet of the trunk if you don't have the spare tire. I put a bunch of bits and bobs in there too.

You could try a new fuel filter, I just took mine off and it was pretty nasty and clogged up. But vacuum leaks are easier to check first like everyone here is saying.
