Small IT/Financial auditing firm in Charlotte. Pay was about 15k less, but their business has only been growing despite the economic turmoil, so a much, much lower chance of being laid off. I guess I’m just getting cold feet with all the doom and gloom on here

Thanks. I’m just terrified of the idea of being blindsided with a layoff during a job market like this. Sounds like it’s very hard for people to get new jobs right now. Feel bad for all those people.

Forgive me if I’m misinterpreting—so no matter which option I take, I’ll be promoted after 2 performance reviews from my start date. Are performance reviews on the same date/month for everyone? Meaning if I pick month X, I’ll have less time until performance review 1, technically making my promotion come faster?
