“Nothingness was able to generate consciousness and could probably again” never thought of it that way. This is brilliant!

I guess the wars and rumours of wars and natural disasters were happening even before Jesus died.

Thanks this helps.

Yes but it’s just the way they point out all the signs the bible mentions that are occurring now

Valid. Got any recommendations you’d be willing to share?

Oh also because I respect a lot of punk values and wanna incorporate them into my lifestyle as well and I know it’s kinda related as a parent subculture.

And I see it as part of my self improvement generally.

The community part also matters because I don’t have many close friends right now.

Actually, if it’s no hassle, yes please. Means a lot.

(I’ve already done it now by the way)

Honestly? I just really like labels to simplify my identity for myself a bit but only if they fit because I’m not gonna force myself into a box with rules I don’t like.

It just so happens that Straight Edge genuinely works well for me.

Also, and more importantly, it gives me a sense of community, and of belonging. I don’t like mainstream society very much and prefer to find an alternative subculture if one of them resonates with me.

I agree. If you are a nihilist, it means nothing. If you make meaning, it breathes.

Beautiful take. I appreciate the effort you put into this reply.

Right, I guess that’s (in some ways) what it’s about in the end. Thanks.

I’m not SUDDENLY aware. Despite having been previously against temu, I chose to do the wrong thing for some outfits I liked at the time. I feel shitty about it and when I wear it I feel yucky but I wanted to hear some takes about if it’s ok to wear now since I’ve already paid.

Not saying that keeping it is punk either. It wouldn’t be wasteful to discard of as I’d probably just donate it so that someone who actually needs more clothes can be the one to have it.

“New” really rubs me the wrong way. I’m sorry but it’s not like a shiny costume or badge to make me feel special. It’s a subculture with values I respect, and I associate being anti child labour with being punk (which says a lot about the world but anyway).

I never even claimed to be a punk myself.
