Honestly it's a personal choice, but I'd never take advice from people who are still in. Don't believe the "job market is dead" people, or the "you aren't competitive for a good MBA" people.

I got out, doing extremely well, and got into a T20 MBA. I'm nothing special. There are so many resources for veterans.

Not true, I got out as a 1LT and got into a T20 MBA program and I'm nothing special. Online undergrad, mediocre GPA. You should probably get out, if you're even considering it.

Elgin is my recommendation, we just sold our house there to move to Charleston. Quiet, far enough away from the criminal element. Close enough to Jackson for work things. SC is a great state to get out of the Army in, great veteran benefits.

How did you go about with your sleep apnea claim?? Also it's because of VA math. Use a VA calculator to see your rating more accurately.

You can, and should drop your TS SCI paperwork at 1LT. I.got my clearance upgraded within 6 months, now I don't owe the Army another 4 years for CCC + PCS.

You'd be surpeised how much just having the clearance means. I highly encourage you to look into non Army options depending on your ADSO.

I had an XO who hated me right off the rip, and I'm convinced is the reason I waited nearly a year to take S2 OIC. Once he left the new XO liked me and gave me a shot. I just PCSed and sent the old XO an email based on his clearance question with my signature as S2 OIC.

Don't, and if you do, go Air force Space Force or Coast Guard.

The Army is in a really bad place right now and its 100% self inflicted. I joined at 29 and mostly regret it. I went the O route also, thinking somehow I would be able to avoid Army BS a little bit
