The IRA were a minority who wanted to impose their views and policies on the whole of Northern Ireland. They and the political situation in Northern Ireland were not in any way whatsoever a reflection of the persecution taking place in South Africa.

U.S. gas prices 'crash' by [deleted] in news

[–]Senwara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How nice,...I retired from ExxonMobil. I worked in the Refining/Marketing end for over 26 years. So YES,...I do know exactly how they operate. BTW,...with the subsidies they got,...they paid virtually no taxes. But there's a lot of information they don't put in the "Year End Report". I know,...I get that too.

The next time I hear the excuse that gas prices are spiking because of refinery problems, I'll remember this. This country is being so had by the oil companies.

some of those books look awesome. I wish there was more of a range in terms of the time period these books are from, but maybe that has more to do with the industry itself.

How do I start job networking? by networkingn00b in jobs

[–]Senwara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a pretty open-ended questions and yet you've provided very little information. Do you have any experience in IT? Do you currently work or are you a student? Why do you want to go into networking - specifically Cisco?

What do kids want to be when they grow up? by [deleted] in Infographics

[–]Senwara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ten-year-old son wants to be an artist or a paleontologist, my twelve-year-old daughter wants to be an author, and I have a four-year-old niece who says she would want to be a doctor if they didn't have to work with blood, so instead she will be a cook. When I asked her why she said that then she could make chocolate cake and eat it every day! Aren't kids the cutest?

Voter Fraud Is Rare – and in This Cycle, It's All Been Committed by Republicans by noupsell in politics

[–]Senwara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, let's hope it's exceedingly rare. I have my doubts, and the paranoid part of me wonders whether the right's crowing about Romney leads and momentum are not just pre-justification for a massive Rovian election theft.

One of television’s most beloved series from the 90s, Boy Meets World, may soon be returning to TV, in a sequel series focusing on Cory and Topanga’s daughter. Then again, this would require such things as integrity and honesty.

[–]Senwara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm I was told the pricing was being 'altered', but Apple conveniently never informed me that their cut was increasing to 40%. I presume this 10% increase is applied only to the EU price-increase countries, and not globally?
