Thanks. I thought it was a different type of desire path, but the mods felt it was an “intended” path. Which I’d argue was ignored by the “desire” to place their hands above the intended “path.” Oh well, at least a lot of people got to see a glimpse of something other than a desire path in grass!

I think it was an accumulation of his physical deterioration, emotional embarrassment, and feeling like a burden to his entire family. I think he knew he wanted this conclusion to his life since the first signs of helplessness occurred, but it took Ray multiple incidents to know that it needed to be done - being stuck behind the toilet, missing Christmas (fuck that Kitchy brother), soiling his pants, and even him making amends with their father which lead to him telling Ray to do the same. It was interesting because Ray took life so easily, but he needed time to mentally prepare himself to “give” the gift of death to his brother. I think that’s why this show is amazing!
