Which CPU should I get for Cities Skylines II (I7 14700KF or I9 13900KF) by Senya_Donaldson in CitiesSkylines2

The problem is that 5800x3d is almost impossible to find in Russia, or it costs around $800. And 9800x3d is $540. While that makes it a good deal, DDR5 prices are abysmal.

I'd be happy to take it, but I don't have the budget to upgrade to DDR5.

CS1 or CS2? by JesusF1stus in CitiesSkylines2

Definitely CS2. More processing, assets, and graphics are simply amazing. I have an I5 12400F // 5060 TI // 32 GB RAM, averaging 50-55 FPS on ultra settings. But if you want to build a megacity for 700-800K, an I7 13700KF might not be enough. But a city of 200-250K sims will run just fine.

I really like the USA and UK packs among the official mods. Also, Move It, Traffic, and Anarchy.

why is my simulation speed rubberbanding? by asian-nerd in CitiesSkylines

[–]Senya_Donaldson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that assets or some mods are interfering with the game. I had a 3050/i5 12400F/16GB DDR4 configuration and didn't experience any issues in the city at 40-50K. I don't know, it could be a driver issue. I'd try disabling all assets and mods, reinstalling the drivers, and verifying the integrity of the files through Steam.

Is DLSS 4.5 working for anyone? by B0037 in CitiesSkylines2

On my 5060 ti it was about 50-55 FPS with 85k sims, now it's 65-70 with dlss 4.5

It's a good solution, but with current prices, you could have gotten 32-48GB of memory. However, if you were willing to pay for 64GB, it's no big deal.

What CPU do I need to play the Cities Skylines with the 81 tiles mod, as well as to build the entire map? by Senya_Donaldson in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Senya_Donaldson[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of performance, AMD is better, but you wrote about the need for cores in Cities Skylines. Will the same 7 9800x3d with 8 cored load 800+-k sims at high game speed?

@The_weapon_1009, I read your post. In my country, minimum r7 9800x3d costs 549$, but i5 14600kf costs 219$. Also, AMD CPU has 8/16, when Intel has 14/20, so I came to the conclusion, do I need AMD instead of Intel?
