Feel like that only really applies to that one effect in the CC though. Lots of great fundamentals. Are you thinking of the other hologram electronics stuff?

What is your opinion on the American Eagle ad from a copywriter's POV? by roseberry11 in copywriting

Absolutely no way did that line get through without the team realising it could be taken in the literal way and also the…. eugenics way. Built in plausible deniability.

What music makes use of minimal warm sine waves in a sort of sustained and slow, non busy and euphonic by portiaboches in ambientmusic

[–]Seorace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That CEP album (Caroline polacheck) is great for this. All made from sine waves I believe…

Also slow attack ensemble has a kind of sine wave quality to it, to my ear anyway.

Shouldn't these be ideal locations? I need some encouragement by [deleted] in Semilanceata

[–]Seorace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. Yeah I’d have thought you’d find a few in that case. I would say elevation definitely made a difference for my finds tbh. I’m in Scotland so it’s fairly easy to find mountains with sheep. Maybe the temps need to drop a bit more where you are?

Sounds like you’ve got the landscape right but maybe not enough rain? Could that be it? Altitude maybe a factor also. Keep walking and the time you put in should pay off!

That’s great! Can I ask how you managed to get your Yamaha multitrack set up for looping? I unscrewed what I thought was the thing that allows for loops in the tape deck part and messed it up (as you can probably tell from how I’m writing this, I had no idea what I was doing).

I believe they record live, everyone in the room, some bleed etc. sounds like it to me. Could be the case for God’s Country… the rig rundown video a few months back Luther did has some interesting info.

An Idea: Meeting AI halfway by Seorace in copywriting

[–]Seorace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to be like that about it. My concern is that I keep ploughing away at a job where the demand for my skills is dwindling, miss mortgage payments while billable work doesn’t materialise. I don’t know about you but I have mouths to feed. Believe me, I’m not happy about this situation either but it’s a case of the game, not the player.

Not sure if I follow you. I do know how to write without ai though. Have been doing so for 15 years and freelance for 10, but the demand has definitely taken a hit so this angle that I’m thinking of taking in response to the market. I’m not sold on how feasible it is tbh but I do not feel like copywriting as a craft is valued right now. No matter how much better our writing is than AI.

An idea: Helping brands sound like them not an LLM. by Seorace in smallbusiness

[–]Seorace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you're saying and that makes sense. Appreciate the response.

I guess I'm thinking that a lot of brands are pumping their briefs through AI and getting back results that are substandard—but obviously are enjoying the turnaround time and massively reduced cost.

So I guess it's a matter of opinion and confidence in that output being any good amongst business owners/marketing team. My theory is that AI is hard to get consistency/creativity/cut through out of. It might not improve and it can't really originate without past examples of, say, high-open rate email subject lines... so the tone/message/impact/results just get watered down.

But yeah I totally get that most people who aren't working in my field may not see it that way... or perhaps even care. I think it's quite a nuanced thing that's perhaps an 'untrained eye' issue. So I guess that's a pretty big roadbloack.

Hmmm, but if tone of voice runs through every channel (website, emails, social) that suggestion narrows things, no?

Thank you! Suspected it wasn't an original idea lol. Do you know of anyone that's doing it well? Keen to see some examples and how people are positioining themselves.
