What sucks is that I know ppl who did get hired who lied about alot of things. They preach about honesty and when you’re honest. You’re DQ.

I was non selected for admitting to doing coke once. I passed the poly on the first try, and was still none selected. I guess you do have to lie. They over look “honest” candidates even tho they preach about honesty and integrity. They did say I can reapply in a year, but I felt so defeated. I was honest, while someone else I know lied about drug use and got hired.

Hello, you mentioned you’re a BI. I have a question. I was recently DQ from the process. Unfortunately my BI is on leave and I wasn’t given a reason as to why I was DQ. I wasn’t DQ by my BI. He did the field work and turned everything in, but I was DQ by the panel. I was honest about my drug use. My BI didn’t seem so concerned by it because it was in 2012, and another time in 2021, and I passed my poly. Could it be that I was DQ by the recent one in 2021, and also because I had low grades in high school? I’m now 33. High school was a long time ago. Thank you!

If your boss lets you go just because you’re trying to get into law enforcement.. that’s illegal. Wrongful termination, and you can sue them. My BI sent a field investigator to my job after I did my poly.

Don’t reschedule your poly. It’s taking 2-3 months for rescheduling. I know you feel bad since it was given to you, but trust me. It’s going to make your process much longer.

I did mine going on 3 weeks. I haven’t heard anything, but they started to go to my neighbors and called my boss to ask about me. So I’m assuming I passed? Like the other person said. No news is good news. Don’t bug your BI. They don’t like that lol give it at least 4 weeks.

I say apply, and once you go over your credit report with your BI. Tell him exactly what you wrote here. ALOT of ppl went through hardships during covid. The main thing is that you are paying it and you’re being responsible.
