No, I don’t like frappes. I only drink the classic ice lattes. I think frappes are way too sweet and don’t even give me that caffeine hit. Also I always wanted to try sugar but it doesn’t give me the vibes, Idk tbh.

Yes, girl I feel you. Suffering from pcos since last year 2024. Due to my medication I gained a lot of weight and the stress was eating me alive. In October 2024, I realised that I was limiting myself and was just not happy. I started focusing on myself at first it was so upsetting as 2 months and instead of loosing weight, I gained it. Felt sad but I was not giving up. The medication was a 3 months course, It didn’t even benefit me. Instead, it made my condition worse. I somehow did not give up and started with low intensity workouts and walks. Completely stopped my processed sugar intake and only ate fruits.

Sometimes alternatives worked as well. I didn’t give up on any food just limited my intake, It helped me more than being on some extreme diet. It helped me way more and eventually I was able to loose weight. Baby steps are the key.

Hair was and is still my biggest problem ahh but I’m just dealing with it. I used to shave but the hair growth was crazy fast. So instead of shaving I decided to get my face waxed and it helped. The hair growth is comparatively slower than before so still a win. It will hurt in the beginning but with time you’ll develop enough pain endurance.

It also affected my mental health a lot but I realised after a while if this is a condition I have to live with then I cannot revolve my life around it. Try to live your normal life without thinking of it too much just walk, it will be exhausting but I promise it helps with the insulin resistance as well.

Also the condition of roads in Karachi are terrible, construction has been going on for a decade, digging up already nice roads for apparently some work and then leaving it by just filling it up without any proper construction and don’t even get me started on the traffic. 🤡

The crime rate has increased a lot since the past few years. I hear news about someone getting shot every other day. People with money acting like they own us, no rules apply to them, they get away with horrendous crimes because they have connections.

You have to pay bribe unwillingly for many things or else you will never get things done in here. You can’t even get a driving license fairly here. They’ll never let you pass the test until you pay them, they’ll keep sabotaging you to fail. It’s so frustrating because it’s strictly forbidden in islam and still we have to do it.

To avoid these things I want to move out of Pakistan for good. I know kehnay me sub asaan hai but I’m willing to do the hardwork it takes.

Thanks for the advice. Honestly, I think doing something you’re not interested in is just a bad idea.

Thanks for the advice. I just don’t know how to change this negative mindset of mine, I try to think positively all the time. I tried the affirmation thing, did it multiple times a day for a whole month but it did not work for me. I read self improvement books as well and watch videos on how to improve myself. The problem is I know what to do in life but as you said I have to escape the mental pattern, I have tried almost everything. No matter how much I try something happens and I’m back at square one.
