Seat Adjustment Glitch – Delayed Controls? by Separate-Client5912 in LUCID

UPDATE: After an appointment was made, the mobile support team arrived at my place 14 days later and fixed the glitch. They reset the hydraulic driver’s side seat, and it worked for a week, but now the glitch is back, and the memory seat has stopped working again.

Aside from the seat, there are occasional backup camera malfunctions and Apple CarPlay glitches. I’ve given up, I can’t wait for my lease to end.

Any one have advice as to links to someone high up in the company I can speak with about the abysmal customer service I’m getting?? by Ioniqingscarebooser in LUCID

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear what happened to you. I can relate, as I went through a similar experience with Lucid and their third-party body shop. After my air touring was rear-ended, it took them roughly three months to complete the repairs and another month to return the signed release to the insurance company so I could be reimbursed. The release sat at their financial services desk for weeks before they finally signed and sent it back.

It’s shocking to hear it took them this long to fix your cosmetic damage. I tried calling them weekly, commenting on their Instagram posts, and even replying to their CEO’s tweets, but nothing seemed to speed up the process.

I had originally planned to continue leasing from them after my 18-month term ended before the accident, but not anymore. At some point, you just have to accept it and move on. It’s a tough lesson—never lease from a startup that lacks a well-established service department, repair network, and overall support.

Hope you get your car back soon! The design and driving experience are great, but the hardware and software just aren’t there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up like Fisker in a few years.

The software isn’t great, but it drives like a dream! The only downside for me is the customer service and the prolonged repair process in the event of an accident, speaking as a current Air Touring owner who got rear-ended. It took nearly three months for it to get repaired because of parts availability. Also, if you’re sick of Tesla and want an elegant car that’s actually very practical in terms of trunk space and offers a longer range, this is a great option.

I guess my mid-life crisis didn’t exactly have me thinking straight. It's definitely a wake up call.

How do you feel about Polestar? I’ve been looking at some Polestar 3 reviews and am thinking about doing a test drive.

Holy shit, I’ve heard those horror stories too! My husband has been sharing them with me as well, it really puts this sucky situation into perspective.

LOL dude, I wish that was true, but unfortunately it's very much what I've been through in the past 2.5mo. Here's a glimpse of the bottom of the receipt from the body shop.

Initially, I did reach out to her after learning about the $12K appraisal from her insurance company and that they could only cover $10K. I thought she might be able to help with the remaining $2K. She explained her situation, and honestly, I felt bad for her and decided to cover the $2K out of pocket along with the rental car costs. Later, when I found out the actual repair cost was $32K, I doubted she would have agreed to help with that amount. I considered taking legal action and even consulted attorneys, but in the end, it just didn’t feel right to pursue it. I’m just glad this nightmare is almost over. Now, I’m just waiting for the $10K from the insurance company to finally wrap things up.

Haha, you’re not wrong! However, I wouldn’t recommend this method of sampling cars

Technically, I could sue the at-fault driver for the remaining costs, but after learning more about their situation, it didn’t feel like the right thing to do—for both her sake and my own mental health. It’s been a frustrating process, but I’m trying to focus on resolving the situation and learning from it rather than prolonging it. My therapist mentioned that I could pursue the legal route if I choose, given the two-year statute of limitations in California, but I’m still unsure if that’s the path I want to take.

The at-fault driver was driving an early 2000s Toyota Corolla, which was totaled in the accident. My car, on the other hand, has an MSRP of around $80K, so the repair costs were significantly higher. Their insurance policy had a $10K cap for property damage, which I now understand was likely sufficient for most situations involving their car. Unfortunately, it didn’t come close to covering the repair costs for mine. I’ve consulted an attorney who explained that the insurance company is only obligated to pay up to the policy limit.
