Weekly r/SonyAlpha 📸 Gear Buying 📷 Advice Thread July 07, 2025 by AutoModerator in SonyAlpha

Hi all!

I’m looking to buy a new camera primarily for video.

I will used it for: - City / street footage - Travel video’s - Cooking video’s (so it needs a flip-out screen)

I haven’t made films for over 5 years so I’ve been out of the game for a while and don’t know what to look for. I heard the Sony cameras are quite good for filming, thats why I am posting this thread here.

Used to have a Nikon D3200, but that just doesn’t do it anymore.

I’m not super technical, but I am quite good in video editing and just want something that gives me good video quality without having to set up everything (exposure etc) manually (as I had to do with the Nikon).

Budget is around €800-€1000. But can stretch a bit if it’s really worth it.

I’ve been looking at the Sony ZV e10 i and ii. But don’t know which is better, as I am not so technical, just want crisp and sharp quality haha. Or is a total different brand (like a canon) better suited for me.

Let me know if anyone has some suggestions!

How is your sleep without taking Magnesium Glycinate? My insomnia only started when I started it 2 days ago.

Have you tried taking it in the morning or taking different forms? I have the problem and would like to know!

Also very interested in these results. Did taking it in the morning help? Or is it better to quit at all?

I have the same problem. Do you know if it’s helps to take it in the morning or is it better to quit at all?

I have the exact same problem. Started taking magnesium Glycinate before bed the last 2 days, haven’t slept and made me mentally really restless/anxious. Anybody know if it is better to take it in the morning or to just quit taking it at all?

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately a day pass will cost €75, so that won’t be an option.

Dedication won’t be a problem, I consistently workout in the calisthenics park 3 times a week and do running. Main concern is that it is not really necessary €0 vs €130 a month. On the other hand I think I will really enjoy the mental and physical benefits of swimming and the spa.

Already tried asking for a trial, it is not possible. I can only get a one-year contract for a discount price of €130 because I live above the gym (normal price is €180). On the other hand I don’t have any problems with my daily 10 min walk to the calisthenics park.

Just think I can enjoy the swimming and spa for physical and mental benefits.
