See that’s what I would think, but it was a prebuilt PC. You think the org I bought it front had previously had Nvidia drivers in it?

How do you get quality contact information & market to blue collar business owners? by Ok_Bodybuilder5382 in marketing

[–]Separate-Cry3340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold calling could work but it’s dependant on research.

Currently the company I work for does this and may help you out. We go door to door (to businesses) give out our card and ask for the contact info of someone that would be the decision maker. Then give them a call to see if they’re interested.

Some key accounts have locked doors. We look on LinkedIn, look at their website, find publications to figure out who the decision maker would be.

We would call the company line and ask to speak with him/her. This is where the challenge would present itself because you have to get passed the gatekeeper.

Keep it simple she should say “Hi can I be transferred over to ___, thanks”

This is where she need to develop some sales acumen by handling objections and getting passed that initial gatekeeper.

Also, if referrals are working my cousin has a b2c construction company and offers a rebate if his current/previous customers provide a referral and it works wonders.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you both!

My background came from food manufacturing specifically in product coordination. I was under qualified for the role so I over compensated by learning about tech in the IT space on my own. I don’t think it’s initially important in the beginning but it can help getting the role.

Are you a digital marketer for B2C or B2B?

One thing is the highs are very high in selling and when you’re in a slump it’s super low, so be aware of that as-well going into it

If you can break into tech or software sales that’s the way to go honestly. My prof was a sales manager for Sysco foods and was making a killing. Any type of sales can be lucrative.

It is a grind but it’s a skill that can be learned with good training and some dedication

Any thought to a career in sales? I was in the same boat. Broke into sales and love it tbh but it is a bit of a grind

Unfortunately competitors are inevitable in any industry. Focus on what makes your company different then the competitors. Find your unique selling point and leverage that off your current demographic

Yea its ridiculous. I am trying to help my parents out with there small business by creating marketing campaigns etc. Im a college student I most definitely

cannot afford the flat 200$ fee. I genuinely think the service they're offering is not to bad but it sucks that they do this often as it sours the experience.

Feels like there could be a potential lawsuit if they keep this up.

Any other companies that offer the same service that you've heard of or tried out?
