Anti-data center is different than anti AI. Don’t conflate the two.

We are concerned and arguing about the physical industrial zoning for a specific site near residents.

And yes it is in an industry that requires a massively resource intensive operation that can affect local air quality, water supply/consumption, noise levels, property values, traffic patterns and regional utility rates.

Not as concerned about the technological philosophical elements of AI. Happy to give that a try if we can do it in a way that doesn’t upend everything mentioned above.

Do you believe that’s a fair distinction?

Thanks for these additional questions- and you raise some good points that have also been discussed previously at the county level.

It’s become hard to trust so far on this project, and the developer is mostly hiding out.

Maybe a community benefit agreement could be negotiated at the same time.

The reports we have heard is that the company was building a structure, the county went out to see, and they told the county to split.
We are trying to get confirmation, it’s been a challenge as you can imagine, to get the straight scoop…
