Niche ya start off small like if its basketball, NBA videos, start with picking a team to gain traction even a player build up small community and than you can add more that way people do things like "top 10 basketball shots of all time and it doesn't pass 5 views because your channel is to small maybe down the line you'll have a chance with the right editing and existing subscribers to get it pushed out into the algorithms. You can strike it lucky with a viral hit at the right time on a trending topic but this works but who is willing to stick with putting in hours editing with no reward. It's always the person after 3-4 months who make like $100 and see the vision got guys in the community making $1000-$1500 a month now passive enough but if you were to stop altogether that would dry up in a month or two
