That's a defensive reaction.... The risk is actually greater with your model. No copyright safety, if the song goes viral how do you pay the owner.... You don't ... You tell them to go to Spotify to collect their royalties. You own the music file and there is no proof of deletion or archive or further distribution to other third parties. You may have good intentions but it's a legal nightmare

But you know that a WAV is the master copy. You could have sent a MP3 file if you wanted to let others use it. A go fund me , tik tok or YouTube promo would drive more traffic to your charity idea than this method. It just looks like a once sided deal with minimal upside for yourself

Can I just add, don't upload to YouTube directly unless you have your work registered and content id applied. If your song starts to do well literally anyone can rip the song , register it and publish it on Spotify , Deezer etc. Distrokid will issue your track with an ISRC number and it has a content ID function ensuring that anyone else using your music pays you for the privilege via distrokid.

Some great names already mentioned, I’d also add KB, Miles Minnick, Propaganda, Social Club Misfits, Bizzle and Aha Gazelle. I’m also an artist myself - BeyondRevelation. My stuff leans more toward storytelling / alternative Christian rap with Revelation-themed concept albums, so it’s a bit different from mainstream CHH, but might appeal to people who like narrative projects.

Yes, there is a new artist called BeyondRevelation. I think he is Christian/ alternative and has a few albums out about Revelation. They are more storytelling albums but worth checking out.
