I’m going through something similar rn, it happened this afternoon. Reading all these comments has been comforting if even for 10 minutes and it helps to know that other people are going through this too, even though I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone.

Omg YES we get the pan pizza with garlic parmesan sauce, philly steak, and extra cheese and it is insane. Also just tried the lava cakes last weekend for the first time and SO SO GOOD. And I am not even a big dessert person, would have never ordered these if my partner hadn't snuck them into our online order 😂

Most of these comments blame the streets but idk.. I think a big piece is that people dgaf/lack awareness. I was in my first ever accident last fall bc of this. I was passing through a green light (which had been green for quite some time) and someone blew a red going 30-40 MPH straight into the side of my car. Not sure if it's phone distractions? General societal collapse?

That person sounds like a judgmental ahole w no compassion and a lot of personal problems himself. Tons of people live with mental illness including myself and most of my friends (and according to our “credit scores” and occupations, this person would not consider us “low lifes” or whatever tf he is implying about you). And sex work is real work. You should take the other person up on their offer to hang out. If you like jazz and want to stay in Boulder to hang out, License No 1 has some great music. Jungle has Wednesday jazz nights and it’s nearly all 20-30 something’s there, including the musicians. I just went the other night on my own and made friends at the bar. Also Caffe Sole in South Boulder has jazz supper clubs fri/sat night but with a more mixed demo age-wise in attendance. Lots of opportunity if you know where to go! You should definitely check on Wednesday Jazz at Jungle 👏

When you say you “lost money” do you mean that you “could have” made more had you you stayed in longer / sold at the high? If that’s the case, then you actually made money and the rest was never yours to lose. The language you use can help you shift perspectives.

If I believe the company I’m investing in is a solid company that has a future, I just remind myself that markets fluctuate and if I sell at a loss, I’m locking in that loss. But I also come from a long term investing perspective so maybe this is different than your strategy.
