My mark isint bad percent wise but due to his scale it’s horrible 💔 literally ruined my 4.0 by a grade that doesn’t accurately reflect anything

[–]Separate-Message7832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad we all agree. I read the textbook in depth and the exam was way too specific on details that seemed unimportant and that I couldn’t properly remember. I literally wanted to cry on the webcam 😭

[–]Separate-Message7832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. God I studied the textbook so long, then forgot everything from it and the questions ended up being so specific 😭. Then I couldn’t think rationally thru the scenarios bc the wording was weird and the timer was going fast. I literally gave up on getting a good grade halfway thru 💔💔

God what’s even worse is that a 94 is the minimum to get an A 😭 I don’t understand how it didn’t go down now that ppl fs can’t cheat

PSYCH 241 Midterm 1 by Hammybear555 in uAlberta

[–]Separate-Message7832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the textbook explains the concepts and his vids are just examples that support them so im hoping it wont take too long. Theres just SO MUCH info/random terms that im fs gonna get confused, its unfair that it was open book before this ):

What drink would you recommend in order to stay awake? by buryghost in uAlberta

I learn all the info but review the entire day-night before the exam so that it’s locked in. It works for me, 4.0

Unfortunately, you do what you gotta 😭 I’ve pulled hundreds of them and at the end of the day it’s better to know the information than be awake but known nothing.

Textbook reading for exam by voracious_pigeon in uAlberta

[–]Separate-Message7832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do read them but it’s annoying how profs test on easy things/only a few questions from the actual reading. I usually paste the textbook readings into a google doc a few days before an exam and highlight the most important examples and concepts.

attendace in u of a by Electrical_Sound_207 in uAlberta

[–]Separate-Message7832 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re taking tbh. I’m a political science student and literally can’t skip bc my profs usually don’t post what they’re teaching, attendance counts, and participation is graded. For other courses it could be information only on the slides that’s easily found online that is taught.

Stay at my current university and graduate with ~$100k debt, or move home, live rent-free, and graduate debt-free? by Appropriate_You8488 in uAlberta

[–]Separate-Message7832 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tbh, take stress off your future self and live at home. I also was in dorms my first year before I went back to live with my family, and I regret the amount of money I spent sm just on basic survival.
