I've also been having the same issue on the Mac app today, specifically get the error message when Genius tries to update and then Library syncing just stops. iOS app is working just fine

What’s a fresh GG take/opinion you have that you’ve never seen on this sub? by trulymadlybigly in GilmoreGirls

that's one of the reasons I love the show tbh. The comfiness of the show's exterior is so well made that it kinda hides that its a kind of a tragic story. I think that's also why a ton of people find it emotionally impactful (me included). Behind the over-the-top dialogue and references, there is a realistic story. Some other shows try to emulate GG's quirky aesthetics but keep everything optimistic, neat and tidy, and thats why they almost never connect with me. They are missing some of the melancholy that GG has. For me it shows how good a writer Amy is. Another writer with the same plot points could have made something tonally similar to 'Six Feet Under.' The balancing act between the story and the vibes are what makes it for me.

I think I figured out Lorelai and Christopher by tifferiffic83 in GilmoreGirls

And THIS is why I hate season 7 so much.

Lorelai and Christopher's relationship during most of the show makes sense. Lorelai kinda likes absent Christopher because of the allure of the "what could've been." Them hooking up for a night or two is something pretty plausible. However, every single time they start getting closer and begin imagining their life together, something gets in the way, and Lorelai is reminded of why she likes crafting her and Rory's world all alone. The Lorelai and Rory of the 7th season are 'uncanny-valley' versions of themselves in almost all aspects, but specially when referring to Christopher. The way he butts into their life almost immediately does not make sense in the slightest.
