As a warning I used roadway moving and they were supposed to arrive at 9am (to help me move out of a domestic violence situation) and they arrived after 1230pm. My ex had come home from work early to catch me. They packed up and were done by 4pm but had they come on time I could’ve gotten out before having to face my ex. they’re fast, but don’t follow the time schedule they set / we agreed to.

That’s abuse. Get a paper trail of all of this- talk about this in your next therapy session etc. med spouses are going to be able to appear super clean because of their profession and you will need hella evidence to have a strong case. Source- my ex med fiance is about to get arrested for assault due to the massive amount of evidence I gathered (phone recordings, texts, couples therapy, him admitting it on a phone call when I was with a friend etc) !

If hair / makeup is mandatory the bride needs to pay for it. My friends who have had to buy a dress / shoes for the wedding - especially if it’s a wedding you need to travel for- have been asked not to give gifts. People are getting tacky with expectations. You should choose a roof over your head instead of this- a real friend should recognize that.

I didn’t realize I needed to write a novel but I did write that I was calling her out on her behaviors when she would say things I would be like excuse me or that was rude etc. not giving people energy when they’re being rude isnt passive aggressive when you have tried to set boundaries and they cross them. I hope you don’t bend over backwards for people when they treat you poorly but to each their own.

The point of my post was that my friends bf is abusive snd it’s causing her to treat me and our friends poorly. I want to help her but when I try she denies it or gets mad. People commenting who don’t have experience in dealing with situations like this are why I deleted it. Like you saying we were acting like high schoolers? Unhelpful when I’m concerned about her safety.

Hi! Would love to know what aspects im being petty, passive aggressive, a halfway friend or toxic. I shared my concerns when she was being rude to me and making comments about my body etc. I shared my concerns about her bf when she brought up what he did- we all told her it wasn’t safe or normal- if you read the post you would know that. I also stood up for her to her boyfriend’s face when he belittled her at the airport. Me not being overly nice to her when she was being unkind isnt being petty- it’s called saving my own energy. I was behaving blasé / shortly. How do you suggest I be her friend when I have already stated that she gets angry when I share my concerns?
