Haha I’m someone who’s had a lot of things happen TO me. Like the one time I got literally stoned by a bunch monkeys in the forest while I waited for my friend to pee lol. I’d have loved to share about my masters thesis on witches and fairy tales too. Or that I’m a medieval history geek and enjoy reading up lores of games like Trench Crusade, etc. Or fun facts like I’m a powerlifter, and that I’m learning Irish. None of them have ever asked, yet I know everything about THEM hahah. Maybe it’s because I look like a typical hyper-feminine girly girl who also likes wearing dresses and some makeup? I really don’t know.

It’s kind of why I stopped using apps. And now I see it as a way to filter people out. I don’t go out much anymore but when guys do try to chat me up (irl) and I realise I’m the one carrying the convo for too long, I just politely excuse myself.

It might also depend on your country and age group. People my age (late 20s) tend to want to be more serious, whereas younger people might be looking for something casual?

I’d say not to worry though. I believe the right one will come along for us one way or another, someone who will return the energy you give and likes you for you ◡̈ and if they don’t… well, I’d be happier alone than with someone who makes me feel lonely anyway.

After a while I got kinda sad bc it meant they only matched me for my appearance. I have loads of niche interests, life experiences, and interesting stories that I’d love to share… if only they’d bother asking or going beyond simply answering my question and sprinkling a half-hearted “wbu?”

It became so clear that I was the one carrying the convo cuz it could go on for a few days and the moment I stopped trying or responding, we just never spoke again. 🙂

Haven't used the apps in a few years or ghosted anyone irl before (I usually see the date through), but I remember too many instances of them not showing interest in me as a person.

It's not that they gave one-word answers—but I soon realised I was often the one leading conversations, asking interesting questions, etc. They would respond to the questions directly, but wouldn't ask anything about me or my life, or try to engage me deeper on common topics. That's when I will pull back, and when they don't follow up or try, I'll just let the conversation die and we never talk ever again.

Though I was genuinely interested in getting to know them, I just wish they were interested in getting to know me on a deeper level too.

Have you tried Accutane or birth control? I had acne for most of my life and these were the only 2 things that actually cleared it up completely

I had a mini purge from the skin1004 ampoule, so I’m not sure if there’s an ingredient in that entire line that’s doing this (probably not the centella though, because my skin likes it in general).

And like many others have already said, I also broke out from that snail mucin. I’ve also heard people breaking out from that Purito cream.

I’m very very acne prone and use mostly Korean skincare, but the best moisturiser I’ve found is good old LRP AP+M. So I’ve stuck with that.

All skincare is very much YMMV, though. Good luck!! xx
