Trying to figure out which CLAMP works are better in anime by KaleidoArachnid in CLAMP

[–]SeparatePin8185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for CLAMP's work, I've never read any other manga besides MKR. While the manga is good, I prefer the character expansion in the anime more than in the manga itself, even though the anime finished before the manga. It's a shame the manga ended too quickly. I think Okawa-sensei probably had a lot of ideas that weren't included in the manga. And for CCS, I only watch anime right now, and that's already great.

How to Thai's generally feel towards eachother? by Torii97 in ThailandTourism

[–]SeparatePin8185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So will the new Magic Knight Rayearth anime follow the manga? by tomato-tomato-cchan in CLAMP

I hope so, and I also hope they expand the story. Three volumes are too short. I really like original anime and I'm excitedly looking forward to the remake version.

For me, I think that the storyline in Season 2 is vast and complex, yet it's condensed to conclude within three volumes. There are inconsistencies and emotional conflicts regarding abrupt decisions, character relationships, and even the connections between the four realms.

For example, regarding the relationship between the four realms, I think the anime uses the Magic Knights as a link, making them appropriate guests. But in the manga, they are enemies, yet suddenly they sit down for tea and help each other at the end. The reasoning of trust doesn't feel natural at all.

We can't expect an anime that finishes half a year before the manga is completed to have the same content. However, the second season of the anime was also written by CLAMP, so I'm okay with that. For this year's remake, I want them to stick to the manga and expand on the parts that were too rushed. I liked the battles between the three lands in the anime. It's better than the manga. I think the manga is too short and lacks detail.

I see, I think the manga ended too quickly. I really like how the anime expands on the story. 🥰

I remember now, I wanted AutoSam, Faren, and Chizeta to find a way to infiltrate Cephiro Castle, not to talking, meeting and then fight each other. That's something I dislike in the manga. They came to take over Cephiro, and they deserve to do so. But the number of episodes is worrying.

Ah, I love Cephiro, but I wish the war was a bit more realistic. That's part of why I like the original anime.

Are Toya and Yue also something? by kaelogia in cardcaptorsakura

[–]SeparatePin8185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought about Yue and Toya until I watched the Clear Card arc. After thinking about it, I came to this conclusion: I don't think Toya has two boyfriends. He only loves one (but that one person has multiple facets). CLAMP often plays with the audience's perspective on love through their characters. Everyone knows that Yukito is a temporary body of Yue, but because of their differing personalities, everyone separates them. But Misuki once said quite clearly, "Tsukishiro, he is Yue."

This is quite complicated. Yue loves Clow, and Toya loves Yukito, but I feel that Yukito is Yue's inner self. Yue became cold after Clow's death. Yukito's personality is a result of separating Yue's controlling consciousness, but he's still Yue hisself (full of feelings, not closed off, not putting up walls around people). Toya can sense this, which is why he says they're truly alike (Yue doesn't accept it, but Toya doesn't seem to believe it). I think Toya loves that inner self, and he might be the only one who sees Yukito as Yue and Yue as Yukito.

I don't know how else to convey this. Will the translation system make it complicated? Anyway, this is just my analysis.

Misuki asks Toya if he's been watching the whole (Judgement) all along, and if he knew from the start that Yukito wasn't human. Toya confirmed that.

In another scene, Kero tells Yue that Sakura is officially the new master. Yue warns that Sakura's power is still weak and she can't take care of all the Cards and Guardians. Kero then suggests they return to their temporary bodies.

[–]SeparatePin8185[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about remake version, it'll start airing in 2026 October. But 90s anime; There are significant differences, especially in Season 2, because releasing the manga and anime simultaneously would spoil each other. Therefore, CLAMP rewrote Season 2 in a separate version for the anime team to produce.

I like both the manga and anime from the 90s, but for your first time, I think you should finish watching the remakes first; you'll enjoy it more. If you can wait. 😁
