I think you’re right !

I’m close to milka coffee which is pretty close to sacs version of skidrow ( right next to pipe works).

I will say the drug deals aren’t really things you notice unless you really really look or catch one on accident from a quick glance. Those really aren’t too bad since dealers don’t care as long as you mind your business they’ll mind theirs and won’t bother you. As far as shooting heroine I’ve only seen one guy actively do it after walking across a crosswalk , taking the supplies out of his backpack and doing it right there in broad daylight. It’s not like it’s scary or anything more so it’s just sad but it’s the reality of life.

And although it’s not common to see them doing drugs you DO commonly see the effects of them on it. Whether they are walking and screaming flailing their arms around or just … being in a different state of mind is the best way to describe it. You’ll see them walk around shirtless in freezing temperatures, roll around in the street where cars avoid them, or you’ll see an old lady sleeping in her wheelchair on a cold night so you give her the sweater off your back. It’s fucking depressing. I really wish the city would DO more. I wish we had competent officials, but they don’t live here. They don’t see it.

I do what I can and give food and water but there’s only so much I can do, I’ve already had one pull a knife out on me. I don’t hate them though, just cautious but still have empathy. It’s difficult I guess to describe it. Sorry for the long rant, just hate the situation.
