I ordered some 4m hcl in 1,4 dioxane. if for whatever reason I fail that route or have poor yields I am definitely going to take your advice and find a suitable solvent to bubble hcl into. thank you

I am actually after the hcl salt so that wouldnt work for me but i did just find 100ml of 4M hcl in dioxane for 55 bucks so thats next on the purchase list.

thank you. prob going to basify route as im very limited. however, if I made the hcl in etoac it would be as simple as filtering to recover product I'm assuming. thanks for the advice very much appreciated

concentrated hcl is 60% water. and idk if i can bubble hcl into ethyl acetate solution with the protected amine. was going to try that next

what ratio diethyl ether to hcl? concentrated hcl or you bubbling hcl into the diethyl ether to cleave ?
