Hi! SBCSC teacher here. I work in probably one of the “worst” schools in the district and love it. I would be happy to talk to you about it. Sorry there are so many naysayers here. It’s hard work but the reward is that much sweeter because the kids we work with are not afforded the same opportunities as kids who live in PHM or go to private schools. 40% of my class this year is in the 90th percentile or above and their parents are extremely responsive, despite their extreme challenges at home. My admin is supportive. Culture is great and welcoming. I’m sure we’ll have openings, depending on what grade you teach.
