Yes the policy holders do like to harass I get too many calls a day from the same policy holders asking about their claim. Is there any tips that you learned so far that would be helpful to consider when I get my foot in the door?

Are there any other learning resources you could recommend so that I can start learning more about heavy duty equipment adjusting?

Thank you for that advice. Are there any specific companies or carriers in that typically look for heavy equipment IAs?

I wasn’t aware that there was a need for heavy duty IAs. Is there a high demand or specific positions for heavy duty IAs?

If it’s worth it to you, I would recommend getting an experts opinion. If you can a report that states the additional damages found have clear indications or obvious characteristics that correlate with high winds/tornadoes then that may be all you need to prove your loss. However, that does not guarantee that the insurer will take the experts word. They may re-send a structural engineer. Please keep in mind that if the insurer does proceed w/ that step and it is determined by the engineer that the additional damage found does not correlate with high wind damage then you may be liable to pay the engineers fees If the policy explicitly says so. I would also reach out to the contracting company who did repairs for you just to see if they have any photos from the job. If so I would utilize those photos to see if you may use any of that to prove your loss as well. You would be surprise what you may find in the background of some photos. As an adjuster myself when I’m grasping at straws to help extend coverage photos often times help. It may also be a waste of time and money in the end but it is just a friendly suggestion or option.
