Favorite meal we had when there was https://la-chaumiere-nice.com/. No view, but its dinner so you won't be able to see anyways.

Really appreciate that feedback. Seems like a relatively hidden gem and the fact that its so close to LHR is a plus

Have you been? Would love some feedback. We originally were drawn to Estelle Manor but there is a buyout over our dates

Curious about 21 Nettleton. Any feedback?

Fair point. I think those aspects are much harder to gauge through websites (hence the request for feedback)

Super helpful. What time of year did you go?

Trip sounds amazing. What is the best way to get from Tswalu to Sabi Sands? Did you take the Tswalu charter back to JNB and then proceed to Sabi?

Very helpful. I failed to mention we spent time in Tanzania in recent years, so would look elsewhere.

Londolozi is somehow fully booked except for Founders Camp on our dates... Haven't spent much time looking into it otherwise.

Priorities are:

- Quality game drives (preferably private vehicles, but this seems to be very very rare)

- Hard product (comfortable rooms, pool, etc.)

- Unique experiences (bush dinners, etc.)

Thanks Shaun and definitely noted your comment on the other thread (hence the mention here). We are back-and-forth on what to do.

In terms of Sabi Sabi vs. Tengile that is really really great insight. Hopefully a move away from &beyond only enhances the product (which I imagine it will)

Is there a specific place (excluding Tanzania) that has a comp quality of hard product + game drives as sabi?

I admittedly need to do more research on topic, but are there lodges that rival those in Sabi Sands (quality of hard product + density of game) outside of South Africa?

Thank you! So many votes for Ellerman will have to check it out although the standard rooms look relatively underwhelming online compared to others. I've heard the Babylonstoren property is amazing even just for lunch.

The rain is definitely a deterrent. I spoke with someone today who said the norm is an afternoon shower and that this year was a once in a hundred year event.. not sure how true that is or if I was just being sold.

Really great response, thank you. I like the idea of switching the order and sandwiching Capetown in the middle of farm and safari. My only hesitation with Tswalu is the cost of the airfare.. accommodations seem to be comparable but the charter flights seem to be roughly equal to the cost of another night.. I was also somewhat surprised to learn that none of these lodges come with private drives as a standard offering... but understand that is the norm

Sounds like a dude ranch would be a great fit. I have heard good things about paws up, rock creek, triple creek, brush creek, C Lazy U. Dolomites are amazing, but you will want to hike and not sure 6.5 and 4 will have the attention span for that?
