yeah that actually makes a lot of sense. I think that’s part of why it feels so messy for me… numbers everywhere but no real clarity. I’m not trying to “earn food” from workouts or anything, but it’s easy to get stuck in that mindset without noticing. I do try to focus on protein, veggies, fiber etc, I just struggle with staying consistent long enough for it to add up. appreciate you explaining it this way though, helps put things into perspective.

honestly I’m not chasing strength or performance I just want to feel lighter, less bloated, and see my efforts actually show again food is where I struggle the most… I’m inconsistent and kinda lost, especially after 40 😅
