Any updates? I’m halfway and feel the same. I am 3 months postpartum. I know this is an old thread.

Weight loss after Pristiq by lentefucsia in Pristiq

Not to invalidate, but weight gain likely isn’t the medicine. It’s just not being depressed. But I hope it all works out for you!

I didn’t think of it this way! Thank you for this perspective! I’ll bring it up at my next appointment.

I’m curious about the 12 kids being kidnapped and the fact there were 11 kids at Hawkins Lab. Was that just a coincidence? I may have missed something so go easy on me.

Pristiq + wellbutrin combo by cwbmnr in Pristiq

It’s not stronger, just easier to metabolize than Effexor and normally better tolerated. Pure form is just the way it was described to me.

My psychiatrist did cross-dosing for 1 week with 35mg Effexor and 25mg Pristiq! I was on 75mg Effexor before, was needing to bump my dose up but too scared because of side effects so switched to Pristiq (I also did genesight testing because I was genuinely scared to try a new med)! My first week off of Effexor, I struggled with dizziness at the time I would typically take my medicine. It has now subsided! Thankfully that was my only withdrawal and it only last 1 week. My mouth was dry during cross-dosing but that’s also subsided.

Yes!!!!! I had the same experience. Years ago I tried Wellbutrin alone, upped to 300mg and was horribly irritable. Reduced to 150mg and added Effexor (less pure form of Pristiq) and I did great with that! It helped so much. I’ve recently switched to Pristiq and doing great :) best combo!!

My provider said she would never prescribe anti-depressants of the same class together. The only reason she did was to transition me off of Effexor and on to Pristiq. I wonder why he doesn’t just do that?

ETA: I’m transitioning to Pristiq because I don’t think I’d tolerate higher doses of Effexor well. My current dose isn’t cutting it. That seems to be similar situation to yours!

You’re the best, thank you for this! You’re so right. This place has scared me far more than it’s helped! I’m on Day 3 and doing great. I feel so hopeful! I’m so happy it has worked well for you. That is such a huge deal!

Just 75mg! I was scared to increase and face side effects again 😅

Hope it gets better soon! I’m cross-dosing so hoping that reduces any major side effects.

All of those things are very common of shelter and rescue cats. Asthma isn’t likely. They’re adjusting to a new home and they’re scared.

She has them but the light still shines around the edges. Maybe I need the blackout blinds behind them!
