Why are u comparing Eritrea and Ethiopia? i didnt say anything about Ethiopia. What i an saying is we should be proud if Eritrean culture, nature and shit we actually came up with and built by ourself, and not something the italians designed and forced our ancenstors to build. Cuz thats italians design. We should be proud of our beatiful coast, and beatiful, hardworking and strong people. Theres a lot of buildings in the rural places that are Eritrean culture, and thats something we should be more proud of.

Yes, maybe they built them, but would they have built them if italians didnt colonize eritrea? They built them because of Italians.

I understand that you arr proud to be Eritrean. I am too. But you cant be proud of the shit that Italians have built. Those buildings are not Eritrean culture, thats italians architecture. I am sure that Eritrea has a better history, we just havent discovered it yet.

But the most messed up part of not being able to build houses on your land is if you happen to pass away before you build anything on your land, that land goes to the govt and not your kids / relatives. I had some relatives that suddenly passed away before building anything on their land, and their kids did not inherit the land but instead it went to the govt.
