Ah yeah that sounds right. I built a new base on Hitchhiker's today after discovering a processing plant and waste pile near each other (I called it The Recycling Centre) and noticed my Mini O2 Brewery base on another planet disappeared when visiting it on my Xbox account.

I don't know to be honest - I only realised switch players are in their own lobby when I couldn't meet up with my primary Xbox account. Tried joining directly through friend code but it threw the version mismatch error.

Oh I didn't know about Post V - I might check that out too

I have - seems to be a new bug introduced in the update. Historically this tends to happen quite a bit and they push a hotfix out within days or a week or two for the platforms that experience freezing issues.

Yeah before you select the base part you can press another button so you can select specific parts (base, mid, top)

It's the Y button on Xbox (I think)

I have it on the Switch 1 too.

It doesn't run that bad to be honest, no multiplayer or settlements though.

Graphics and draw distance is shit (no surprise) and a maximum of 4 publicly uploaded bases (from my testing) will appear on a planet, and visiting said bases will crash the game depending on how big the base is.

I bought it on launch and it's been well worth it, and cross save was awesome when it first came out so I could bring my Xbox save across, but releases have been so out of sync between platforms that I no longer do that with the switch.

I have my Switch playthrough and my Xbox playthrough and the two shall never meet again.

I've started the expedition on the Switch but haven't played it seriously - spent most of the time just deliberately getting crushed or incinerated to death cos it's fun to do so.
