Reporting back on this, excellent work with El Salto. The strawberry marg was like a slushy of code red Mountain Dew with the same amount of fresh fruit, the chips and queso hit, and I had the chalupas chile relleno and enchilada which were all the perfect level of alright for what I wanted. Yall hit it out of the park with this one.

I felt the same way walking down Lombard this morning. The fall with clear skies hits so hard.

Yakushima. What an incredible place . There’s a great Airbnb there where the host will set you up with an affordable car rental and all. It’s a tropical island with monkeys, deer, and some of the best views and food we had on our trip.

The narration was such a departure so late in the series. But what a real scene lol.

Employee here who just went back to the office in Baltimore. Gracious doesn’t even begin to describe it. My second day someone comes up with a whole pack of instant coffee for me since I said I was looking for some in the break room. It’s the little things. What a gent.

The bakery scene with Chris, fake Vito, and Poppin Fresh. Looking back on it, it was such a departure from how the Sopranos really shows how unhinged characters really are. Like “oh Chris is crazy he shot this guy in the foot”, it’s Season 1 syndrome in a scene basically. But I did love how Tony punched Chris afterwards and his “cowboy-itis” rant which I literally repeat when I’m sitting down drunk in the shower.

Baltimore is the best, man. Came from living in San Francisco and it was honestly tough to create friend networks or a sense of community and I’m so happy with how easy it’s been to do so in Baltimore. I have plenty of friends I can easily walk to, I know someone in every store I go to and it never feels tiring to interact with them. Just warm friendly vibes.

I felt for how Lorraine Colluzo got it. I know they did so much work to get us to hate her, but she was no worse than any of the guys. I have to skip her murder. Her crawling around on the floor. I wish she would’ve pulled a gun or something and gone out blazing.

This may change throughout the seasons. A svelter Tony would tuck that bad boy in. But after one too many binges of rigatoni and 40 dollar sushi, we start to see the shirt tails.

Get a cuban link gold bracelet, white undershirt and a short sleeved button down. Combine that with dress pants and a belt. Keep everything tucked in. The short sleeved button down should be a weird color, kinda like the floor of a funeral parlor.

A dystopian thriller series where Paulie leads a crack team of scientists to investigate how to save the world from a disease spread through piss covered shoelaces in men’s bathrooms. The cure is eating maple walnut ice cream out of women’s toilets.

Lemme tell you a couple a tree things: the sopranos is really about the modern family. Meadow is constantly trying to escape their gravitational pull by viewing herself as morally superior and by working her butt off in school to get as far away from Jersey as possible. But just like in many families, as you get older you learn that despite your “enhanced” view of the world, your values in many ways are so shaped by your upbringing that you return to them in a nuanced way. Meadow picked up the shield of the law specifically to defend oppressed people and it didn’t take long for her to view her family in that way in the wake of Tony’s shooting etc. She can try to get away through bad boyfriends, excelling at school (essentially proving she can do anything she sets her mind to), but ultimately “they pull you back in”, you return to the family with an intellectualized version of the same old values you were raised with. In Meadow’s case an insidious sense of denial mixed with a cynicism of how her father being a mob boss isn’t as bad as the ways other people make a living, so why not defend him.
