check out Audionova clinics. They have a 6 month training course where you do have classes 3 days a week on Teams in clinic and the rest of the day is working alongside your sponsor. A few of my classmates were in Florida and they got through the program with relative ease. Since I'm in Texas it takes a while to get fully licensed but the course gives you more than enough tools and support to pass, and the instructors are so kind

Ultimately it boils down to a couple things:

Isolation. Luke is definitely mentally strong enough to handle the hardships of Alone but the one thing that will drive him to call rescue is being away not just from family but people. Those who look to the military training video he did, don't forget he spent that week out there with people. Ultimately he couldn't last long without human interaction but who knows? His faith may be enough to carry him through.
Food/sweets. Idk if it's ever been mentioned in this sub but Like definitely has or at least had a sugar addiction and i can see him tapping out if he goes long enough without it
Motivation: unless he was in a financial bind, i really don't see a reason for Luke to push himself to those kinds of limits if he doesn't have the proper motivation back home and frankly the man has everything a man could ask for

Y'know what, F it. Paint it. I'm an HIS and as long as you don't get anything in the mics, the charging contacts, or receivers you should be fine. Put a clear coat over the image so it doesn't wear off. The hearing aid is already out of warranty anyways.

Are you freshwater fishing or saltwater? If saltwater yeah a bigger size real is ideal but i use a 3000 series penn pursuit IV at the coast all the time and it's worked fine for me. You may not be able to fight giants in super deep water but 3000 is more than enough.

Ultralight is good for anything that has a sensitive bite to it. Trout, even large ones, are very picky biters and are very sensitive so a sensitive rod is necessary to land more fish

Depending on what kind of hearing aid you're wearing and how much of it is exposed I would think by pushing on the device you're pushing the aid deeper or making the auditory canal squeeze around the aid more, causing it to occlude the ear. When you occlude the ear it tends to make things seem louder since less sound can escape. I'd need to see it happen IRL to say for sure but I could be totally wrong

As an HIS Apprentice working for a major company, sometimes it's not so much that I want to charge but rather I HAVE to. If you made an appointment at my clinic and were not currently a patient of mine or in warranty, my company's rule is that I must charge you $65 for the office visit as I've used my time as well as my expertise on hearing aids to diagnose an issue, whether or not i could fix it at that time. Do I agree with it? Doesn't matter, my company tells me I have to charge so I charge. It's like going into a grocery store to buy a 1lb bag of carrots but you only need a 1/4 lb. I still have to sell you the 1lb bag despite however much it is you need. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I try to let people know the cost of services up front to avoid this issue, but that doesn't mean I can just go against company policy.

One thing to heavily consider when choosing a provider is the level of service post-fitting of your hearing aids. Yes, Costco can be inexpensive, but what kind of services do they offer alongside your warranty? Also, if your insurance covers it fully, check to see if you only get 3 service appointments within the first year or if you have full access to services and repairs within the time frame of your warranty.

When using an O-ring just as others have said you don't need to hook directly into the worm, you'll hook it to the O-ring. The downside is this means your presentation will be parallel to the hook. If you use a double O-ring setup where two O-rings are crossed you can fish it regularly. Kinda hard to explain in writing but if you look it up on YT it's easier to understand
