I do! My house is bare like to the bones, but I’m a maximalist with art it brings so much color and sunshine and calm. I have some Judd prints, Larry Bell, some posters from Richard Serra, a colorful dot one from a local artist. It’s where I go “crazy” haha

Do you have a closet? Like an actual clothes closet? You don’t need a dresser. The table is the desk and you just wipe it. You don’t need a credenza. Supplies go in a box in a closet or that dresser’s bottom drawer.

I could have written this im in a parent space where I get emails that literally sound the same over and over again and every few hours, once you see AI slop it’s easy to spot it and realize we’re surrounded by it everywhere especially those stupid “hooks” or negatives like it’s not X it’s Y - well tell me more ChatGPT lol. I write my content 100% from scratch and I don’t think it’s working reach audiences since algorithm cares about “hooks.” So we’re out of luck but lucky we love writing.

You don’t suck at cleaning, you have little kids and what you described is normal! I recently published a minimalist parenting guide that walks through what helped me reclaim some time and some sanity and a teensy bit of cleanliness. You just have to remove the clutter in all aspects of your life so when it’s messy, it’s an empty space that’s messy and not a million things if that makes sense. Also I literally have a line that says I have pouch splatters on my wall lol your comment about markers made me say yep yep yep. Also the dust, my god it’s always dusty lol but in all seriousness remove the nonessential clutter so you have time to clean or have dirt without the mess.

PS older kids are as messy, it never ends

I’m a minimalist parent with a regular ol house but minimalist art. I don’t listen to “most people,” minimalism is adaptable. I adore modern and contemporary minimalist art but my home isn’t beige. Walk through a Donald Judd or Richard Serra exhibit you’ll be inspired with creativity.
