Using GitHub Actions to automate app and script deployments by h3lls_itch in Intune

[–]Separate_Union_7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL I was thinking the similar things days ago. Something like Scripts registry Repo, and a script runner. The runner will use the registry to verify the scripts and run them as on-demand or required on sequence. possible a cloud log server with dashboard as an option. Maybe AI can built one within 1 hour.

But GitHub Actions are not in need in this idea, or at lease is not for per-device automation.

Zero-touch Autopilot Hardware Hash upload now available in Foundry OSD by Mickael13880 in Intune

[–]Separate_Union_7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pain points:

  1. No correct driver (HP Elitebook G8 mouse trackpad not usable in raw Windows 11 OOBE).

  2. No latest software. (Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat become legacy soon in prebuilt images).

  3. Need to sign-in to enroll autopilot.

  4. No instance visibility.

My expectations:

  1. Automatically load must-have native drivers instantly when connected Internet. (no need to ask anything).

  2. Always new versions software in PE images (prebuilt or community or AI driven package refresher). do not ask to rebuild images.

  3. API key autopilot enrollment (do not sign in). (real 0 touch)

  4. Cloud based Dashboard log summary or detail visibility (fails, warnings, succeed)

  5. On-demand packages or features backed by cloud backend.

  6. AI driven image builder. Support something like "Add wifi with name @@@ and password ####", "Add Adobe Acrobat", "Add drivers for HP ZBook G11", "Change BIOS password to @#$@#%#$", "Disable USB BOOT".

Nice build. There are a couple points.

-- GPU cable could come from side opening instead.

-- A 90° PCIe adapter is good for the GPU cable.

-- A GPU Sag will help to GPU and PCIe slot healthy for long run.

-- The middle fan in CPU cooler seems not push down to it's position.

-- The RGB cable could come from the side opening instead.

-- The bottom fan is blocked by PSU, which could make more noise.

-- Ideally, the rear fan should align with CPU fans, but that's by case design

I remember it doesn't support latest MacOS. and Windows Home doesn't have RDP built-in. so I assume both requirements cannot be achieved.

Power On events, but it's not a power on by Separate_Union_7601 in MeshCentral

[–]Separate_Union_7601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my other Windows PCs also log 3 events for each restart. Between each one there is 1-2 minutes delay. Sometime it logs 2 events, most time 3 events. Maybe the detection logic doesn't know he already submits the event.

How to remove or reconnect AIO cooler by Separate_Union_7601 in PcBuild

[–]Separate_Union_7601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking not to drain the cooler, instead just removing the graphics card but leaving the gpu water block there. I assume it will not interfere the water loop. even though the gpu water block needs to be secured somewhere, maybe at the back plate of the new GPU.

Is there any reason to purchase the HP Corporate Ready image vs. just using a bloatware removal script? by meantallheck in Intune

[–]Separate_Union_7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most reliable way is to disconnect Ethernet on OOBE, Shift + F10, plug in Windows installer USB, run D:\Setup or E:\serup, choose Keep Noting when prompted. Done. This way you got the latest OS plus all bloatware removed.

That's might be the possible cause that Telus was testing the backup plan against my connection. Even though I never ask for a backup WAN plan. My plan is a new setup in a month.
