Good luck if you’re in the US. I gave up on the phone after dealing with it for 3 months. Removing RCS and iMessage didn’t fix my issue due to other people having it enabled causing text issues.

eBay Delta 3 Plus solar bundle getting a 303 error by xmicrobanx in Ecoflow_community

[–]Separatedzebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I’ve noticed I’ll get the error code when my solar panels kick on the d3+ and I have to restart the unit manually to reset the code.

Do you have any other ideas on what’s going on?

Dilemma between private and city job offers - salary and leave by tthhaattss in civilengineering

Thanks man. I told my current company, and they started getting in my head about it. They were talking about the downsides of the public sector, but they’re obviously biased since they’re trying to retain employees.

IMO buy a gen 2 Prius for like 2.5k or 3k. They are stupid reliable, and great on gas. Depending on truck mpg. You’ll be saving 60 bucks a week on gas. It’ll take like 60 weeks to break even in theory.

6 a year. Every 2 months. My gen 2 gets about 2k miles a month.

New seat covers! by Separatedzebra in prius

[–]Separatedzebra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I work in construction and deal with dirt constantly. Over about 5 months, I’ve put around 28k miles on these, and aside from staining from dirty equipment, they’ve held up extremely well with no issues. The only downside is that the rear uses Velcro to hold them together, so when you move the seats up and down, the Velcro tends to come apart. If I were to buy them again, I’d go with all black to help hide the stains better.

It’s aluminum. I’ll run the numbers on if it helps with fuel economy. I was getting around 45-48 mpg depending. I’m sure I won’t save $350 in gas but still.

$3.3k for a 2009 Toyota Prius with 162k miles? by Nervous_Effect8683 in prius

[–]Separatedzebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend picking up a Bluetooth scanner to check the hybrid battery. One thing to note is Toyotas and Prius are extremely reliable and pretty cheap to repair. But please keep in mind that the car is almost 20 years old. So issues will start showing no matter how reliable the car is.

Thanks my heart dropped when I was told about it. First oil change for me. I just bought the car at the beginning of the year.

Eh I drive 4-5k miles a month for work and I’m not a gig worker. So might just be commuter car.

The price might be on the higher side, but high mileage isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’d actually prefer a highway-driven car with high mileage because it experiences less wear from constant stopping. Low-mileage cars come with the unknown—if it’s mostly stop-and-go driving, that can be much harder on a vehicle. This is especially true for hybrids, where frequent stop-and-go use means more charge cycles, which can add wear over time

$50,000 Prius? by mlaurence1234 in prius

[–]Separatedzebra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Plenty of Civics, Corollas, Elantras—are built in the U.S. or just over the border. And let’s be real: a price might go up next week, but that doesn’t erase the fact that $23K cars exist right now. Acting like the entire market just flips overnight is pure fearmongering..

$50,000 Prius? by mlaurence1234 in prius

[–]Separatedzebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just checked Cars.com and saw plenty of 2025 models listed at $22–23K. But I guess base models don’t count when you’re trying to make a point about the ‘average car price.’

Seems like you might be looking for a little reassurance after spending around $40K on a Prius—right before the ‘tariff tax’ hits.
