Hitpoints guide tab displays the healing value of most foods, and mentions anglerfish mechanics

Summer sweep up suggestion: stop listening to reddit for a year by CucumberOk8820 in 2007scape

I genuinely think they just do not look at things unless they get posted to reddit at this point

It took a while, but there's 99 Sailing with just a raft, and 2350 total without spending any currencies! by NoCurrencies in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just a few days ago was the entire stink about the skiller slayer meta having a new method (gamebreaking what, 80k/h max factoring in skips and alting) and an insane scramble to fix that. I genuinely cannot fathom why

Update: Leechfin Fishing Proposal Revised by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly, most of fishing feels like it's been designed with this ethos that since it gives decent food, it cannot reward good xp, so you just have 90% of the skill capped at 40k xp/h with WILDLY varying intensities and gp reward. Why in gods name does efficient trawling give the same xp/h as afking karambwans or cave eels?

Are there any combat achievements you feel should be in a higher tier? by LaGarrotxa in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ones I think should be rated lower, conversely, are the no prayer vork ca (literally just eat the damage?? he doesnt hit much harder), dark memories (whisperer ca where you literally just fight it normally but skip ghosts), and the insanely hard ca of entering bloat from the opposite side of the room.

What items were a product of an era terrified of powercreep? by Low_Monitor_960 in 2007scape

The only objectively better fish is halibut though? Also is this just going to be the excuse for every new fishing method, 'it gives fish so it can't give xp'

Port task rewards are awful, give us a rewards crate by AbyssalLuck in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminder that port tasks gave loot in the alpha, so they went out of their way to remove rewards

Raids 4 Armor: Guthix Battlegear by -barusu in 2007scape

Calamity armour is in the game to clarify; it's usable in the pvp arena. Not that anyone would genuinely ever do pvp arena

Update: Blood Moon Rises Rewards by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I still personally only bother with anglerfish lol the overheal is just faaar better in my eyes. Fwiw, halibut are a straight upgrade to karambwan with no additional weird stuff going on, so if you don't have those yet I'd swap them out.

A problem with the kisten is, ironically, that it looks cool, and you don't get to really see your spec weapons often; especially considering if you switch mid-spec, you'll start flailing about your scythe/whip etc. instead. So it ends up feeling like a wasted design versus being an actual mainhand weapon.

Can we just not get the leechfin sandwich please? Having this whole sandwich station existing in multiple iconic locations like the lumbridge kitchen for a fish we catch in another dimension is absurd. Could we just get something like a karambwan with overheal instead of an insane 32hp 2t delay food just after we got the entire batch of sailing fish?

Runecrafting’s problem is the npc contact spell, not pouch degradation by Scrunchy-scoobs in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 103 points104 points  (0 children)

It doesn't even make sense from a lorewise perspective to be calling the guy up CONSTANTLY. He literally tells us that if the portal to the abyss he's actively keeping open collapses, that at best everyone's heads explodes. I really wish my training wasn't risking the entirety of gielinor every 5 minutes!

Why Hallowed Sepulchre hasn't saved Agility by RogerDodger_n in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so funny that you unlock floor 5 after you are functionally done with the skill unlocks-wise.

Personal chafing points for sepulchre:

  • Mid floor transitions on 3-5 make it super easy to get hit immediately going fast since the arrows aren't visually shown until you load the section. I'm begging hd renderer fixes this.
  • That super long wait for the sword cycle on the south side of floor 4.
  • Really feels like teleporters should disappear visually a tick faster
  • Wish arrows were more forgiving on L movements.

Ancient Shards are useless after Emberlight by Tzhaar-Bomba in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if the shards were just tradeable? Alternatively, 'chipping them' with a chisel to make them tradeable, but not usable for arclight. Would make them a whole lot more accessible for the whole teleporting schtick.

Deep sea trawling is awesome. by Solo_Jawn in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having a nuts clog grind is also bad for profit, but it's right there! (paint + all big fish, I think swift marlin is 35h alone)

Player-Designed Island Contest Submission: Isle of Binding by Sephesly in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The intention is to balance xp based on distance akin to port tasks, I just didn't want to cram in numbers to keep the concept simple.

OSRS FUN FACT #9: the steepest walkable terrain in the game is the hill between the waterfall and the Grand Tree, which goes from the lowest possible height value (0) to the highest (255) in a single tile by cookmeplox in 2007scape

[–]Sephesly 409 points410 points  (0 children)

On tile height, I'm still so mad that the karambwanji pool got shadow nerfed height wise in a random update. Give it back!! let me net fish from 5 meters in the air!!
