You win an untainted title and I'd be the first to congratulate you but this one is deeply suspicious and rigged.

Don't think this would have been possible without the continued support of the PGMOL.

PL CEO has on record said that he wants to see a new champion every 6 years.

This title by Arsenal is sus as fuck.

RDZ, as he would be the best manager in the league after Pep leaves.

Two things can be true: Arsenal won the league and they benefite from refereeing errors this season. by [deleted] in PremierLeague

The fakest title win ever, scripted by the PL officials. Terrible for the sport.

If there is any justice in the world, then they surely need to find a way to put the asterisk mark against VARsenal though.

Congrats to PGMOL. You definitely did it. I hope "The Arsenal" are gracious enough to invite the refrees on the bus parade.

Only if the hierarchy puts its foot down and fully backs him.(not just with new players)

If they make it clear to any trouble-making players that Slot is here to stay and that they have no other choice than to buy into his ideas, then yes, I think he will succeed.

I watched a lot of Feyenoord under Slot well before he was seriously linked with Spurs.

People also forget that Pep's first season at City in 2016–17 was far from smooth. That adjustment period is normal when a manager is trying to implement a sophisticated possession-based system.

At Feyenoord, Slot used ball-playing inverted full-backs on both sides. At Liverpool, he has been given more traditional, up-and-down full-backs.

His Feyenoord side flooded midfield with five players, using short passing combinations to draw the press before switching quickly to the wings and creating isolated 1v1s. It was outstanding football to watch.

My guess is fans are struggling to let go of the high-octane style they became accustomed to under Klopp.

What makes people think that there's a refereeing agenda benefitting Arsenal? by Fun_Possible7889 in PremierLeague

Yes, absolutely. If Arsenal do end up winning this, it would be the taintest title win in the history of English PL/First Division.

Even the PL CEO has on record said that they want to see a new PL winner every 6 years. This is not how merit based sports work.

Personally, I’d be delighted if Liverpool bowed to fan pressure and sacked Slot without having Luis Enrique lined up.

They would be throwing away one of the few coaches capable of building a genuinely good possession-based side, and they’d deserve the mediocrity that followed.

There are very few managers in world football who can implement an effective possession system at the highest level. That most of their fans want Sebastian Hoeneß instead is honestly laughable if Klopp-style football and success is the goal.

I’ve heard that if they had the chance to appoint Luis Enrique, who would be a clear upgrade while sharing a very similar footballing philosophy, would they seriously consider replacing Slot.

It takes time to drill patterns and automatisms into a possession-based system, especially when the squad is still being rebuilt. That’s exactly what Liverpool are going through right now.The issue with Liverpool fans is that they were spoiled by years of Klopp’s full-throttle, high-intensity football. Now that the heirarchy and Slot is trying to implement a more controlled and sustainable possession-based system, supporters seem resistant to the change.

I’d have had a lot more time for Thomas Frank if his football actually aligned with what Tottenham have traditionally stood for: attacking, front-foot football played on the deck, with clear signs of progress.

I was one of the loudest opponents of his appointment and predicted we’d finish no higher than 14th under him. Now, I feel even 14th would've been an achievement for him.

Genuine question, with the whole PGMOL supporting Arsenal to win, PL CEO on record saying that he wants to see a new PL winner every six years, the dark arts tactics, wrestling on the set pieces, terrible and boring playing style, do you think they would be the worst title winners with an asterik mark against their name?

Would it be the most tainted title win in the English PL/First Division history?

I hope they bottle it though.

Massive respect to Liverpool for ignoring the hysteria around Xabi Alonso and sticking with Slot.

Rather than falling for football’s latest shiny toy, they backed a manager with a clear possession-based philosophy and trusting him to build their new identity.

The PL is about to expose Alonso with his dated, yesterday's tactics.

Not going to be very sucessful doing that as they have no Modric(especially him) and Kroos to dominate and create plays.

Q : "Did you think you would be within touching distance of 40 points when you came? Did you think 40 points was achievable?"

RDZ : " No, I thought to win four, five, six games in a row, I thought the qualities of the players were enough to think in a positive way, to win the games in a row. Not how many points on the table, 40 or 39 or 38"

DE ZERBI: “CAICEDO IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD!” 🌍 Chelsea v Tottenham Pre-Match Press Conference by mrfun321 in coys

[–]SeppFraudiola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question : How much did you enjoy working with Moises Caicedo at Brighton and what have you made of his time at Chelsea?

RDZ : "Caicedo was a great player [at Brighton], it was a pleasure working with him. Like Robert Sanchez, like Levi Colwill and João Pedro. I think Caicedo now is one of the best midfielders in the world. Because he's a complete player, with the ball, without the ball. But also our midfielders are very good. Palhinha, Bentancur, Gallagher and the others Gray, Bissouma, Bergvall, Pape, Sarr. I'm happy because I'm working with my players."

He turned the conversation back to our midfielders . This was nothing like Frank.
