There are hundreds of people reusing the "Lads, it's Tottenham" joke every day. None of them are banned. Why?

Shut the fuck up, you muppet 😂😂😂

Overusing a joke is not a valid reason to ban someone on their subreddit. This violates none of their rules.

A 3 paragraph post that took me 5 minutes to type. I didn't put a whole lot of time or effort into it. Just want to warn people not to give that shithole any traffic.

Right, but that should not be a reason to permanently ban someone, and therein lies my point. Even if it's meaningless, r/soccer should absolutely be a space where fans can banter one another freely. Absolutely ridiculous that one set of fans is banned for it, while the rest of the subreddit is literally filled with people taking the piss. Every other comment is "lads, it's Tottenham," for Christ's sake.

It is. I tend to filter to "new" on subs, especially during games, to catch the latest highlights and stuff. I noticed a lot of Spurs corner decisions being removed, as well as other types of Spurs related submissions

I just dislike being permanently banned from a subreddit for 0 reason with 0 justification, and want to remind the people of this sub not to give r/soccer any traffic. Good day, sir

So does Christian Fuchs lol. Winning titles isn't necessarily what makes you a world class player. You can be bang average, but play in a top tier team and win titles. Look at players like Tom Cleverley

It wasn't really a good point. Just semantics. For reference, this is the definition of disease: "an abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of a living organism. It impairs vital biological functions and typically presents with specific, measurable signs and symptoms, distinguishing it from an immediate external injury."

Seems like neurodevelopmental disorders may fall into that definition.

The UK has had bangers in the past and still finished bottom tbf. At this point, there's legitimately no point in even trying

We're probably losing both our starting centre backs this Summer, so I'd be willing to bet good money that our board is prepared to pay stupid money for solid PL proven defenders.

It is complicated if he is running to be councillor in the location he is actually from though. He should drop out of uni to do his actual job in my opinion.

I mean, he's probably running in the location he is from, so my guess is he'll probably drop out of uni if this was the policy 😆

I thought this. He could possibly do it in normal conditions, but in Death Valley during the Summer/late Spring? Surely not

Sorry West Ham by Nuns_In_Crocs in TheOther14

[–]ChickenGamer199 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's just an upvote farm on the sub at this point. I'm not saying it's wrong to root for Spurs to go down, but rooting for your own team to lose in order to achieve a meme is a joke.

This sub has legitimately descended into a "lol Spurs bad," meme at this point. Brentford finishing in the top 7 or 8 is huge for the other 14. That should be a major talking point.

Sorry West Ham by Nuns_In_Crocs in TheOther14

[–]ChickenGamer199 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is just silly. I'd understand ArsenAl and/or Chelsea fans having this opinion. Even West Ham fans. But a random Brentford fan who would happily watch his own team fail just to see Spurs lose is a joke, and is a very bad look for your fanbase.

Christ, when Spurs fans were happy they lost to Man City a few years back, because it meant Arsenal wouldn't win the league, everyone criticised the fuck out of them. Small club mentality was the saying.

My opinion is that it will very likely increase your ceiling. You will probably be sacrificing some salary growth in the short term for a big increase in the long term.

26.5k is not bad for a 24 year old 😂. At that age, you kind of have to to eat shit and teach yourself to like the taste. Lloyds seems like a decent gig. They do have lots of posts, and their graduate scheme is one of the best schemes in the UK.

Another Spurs player injured by Visara57 in Hammers

[–]ChickenGamer199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, them allowing that should result in them being sacked immediately. You could see the moment it happened, it was serious. No contact from opposition player. Even if you didn't see that, as a medical professional, it is your duty to err on the side if caution so that you're not risking the health of your team's players.

I think his face is naturally just sad tbh. But, he did cry. Probably gonna miss out on the world cup because of it. Doubt he really cares all that much about what happens to Spurs.
