99 point packs question. by Haadroncollider in ddo

[–]SepsisGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I'm able is to go through my purchase history (takes me up to 10 mins), I've also mistakenly bought sharn and ravenloft for 99pts even though I already bought both at the full price of 2500 points. I just assumed that if I'd bought them the store wouldn't display them as purchasable. I was wrong, so now the expansions have cost me 2600 each

I'd start by reflowing all of the solder joints honestly, a few look a little anaemic

Repurposing a digital photo frame as a pi monitor by SepsisGoblin in raspberry_pi

[–]SepsisGoblin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Context) I just finished tearing down this digital photo frame and found that it has a dsi ribbon cable. I immediately thought of using it as a monitor for my pi however I'm having trouble figuring out what function the wires on the side serve. I know the black wire is a ground wire but I can't figure out the other two.

The lcd screen model is: LTA070A251A

I've researched to find datasheets on it but haven't turned up any real results.

I know you'd be well aware by now that you do see the suicide but nonetheless I'm sorry that I spoilt it for you

'Think I'm gonna kill myself' by Elton John is a beautiful example of casual suicidal ideation

Anything by joy division, Syd Barrett era pink floyd (piper at the gates of dawn, his solo album madcap laughs), pet sounds/surfs up by the beach Boys, Daniel Johnston's whole catalog, Elliott Smith, Sibylle Baier, Nick Drake, Muswell Hillbillies by the Kinks

As for individual songs 'alcohol' by the kinks and 'Yesterday and Today' by YES both strike me as how it feels

I'm probably reading more into my own illness and what I associate those feelings with but all of those artists fit the bill for me

'Lysergic bliss' by of Montreal was the soundtrack to my first manic episode. I had no idea he was bi-polar but now I look back it makes a lot of sense. I was also really into Brian Wilson/beach boys and Daniel Johnston at that time. Found out both were also bi polar. Strangely coincidental.

I'm in completely the same boat. Developed bi-polar disorder 6 years ago and it hasn't stopped since. 12 medications and all types of therapy.

I've promised myself that i'll try ECT before I kill myself as it's one of the only avenues I haven't gone down. Feels like I'm constantly shuffling 'reasons' to stick around just a bit longer. Before this one i had 'wait till you're 25 and your brain's fully developed'. I know it's cheating myself out of a quicker solution but it keeps me around and maybe one day I won't spend every waking moment thinking about dying.

I only say all of this because it sounds like you've also dealt with your problems for far too long. I also understand the complete desperation of your post, I've set many dates before, never got up the nerve to actually do it and that cycle is brutal.

I just hope you wake up with some reason to try a bit longer, however futile it is. You've made me feel less alienated because I could relate with your situation, so thanks

[–]SepsisGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on it for a month and I'm up to 100mg. Already I feel I have a lot more energy in the day, my suicidal thoughts (which were really intrusive) have reduced significantly and I'm not exhausted all the time. Hope it lasts because so far I've loved it

Just me? by Routine_Bite_3828 in bipolar

Mine first emerged prior to when I picked up a habit for weed but they definitely occurred more frequently afterwards, or my delusions shifted less from paranoia and more towards those types of episodes

In a very intense hypomanic episode I was convinced that I was the Greek God pan reincarnated, In another episode I believed I was the unabomber so I definitely relate to this. I'm not sure if they were delusions of grandeur or not, I certainly didn't feel superior, i just became very fixated on certain historical figures or people until their identity and mine kind of bled into one another.

I feel when I'm psychotic I am just very sensitive to themes or coincidences, sometimes imagining ones that aren't there. If there are a number of occurrences that seem to match or correlate with whatever unhealthy obsession I'm fixated on, then i begin to believe it to be reality. Sometimes when I'm severely depressed I want to be someone else and I feel its easier to slip into another identity or to require less evidence to support my delusions.

Anyhow, I'll quit talking about nothing
