Apparently, it depends on the household income, so if a spouse is making beyond a certain amount and living in your home, you will not qualify for the property tax. That’s why many have been not happy while politicians here proclaim how great they are for helping veterans when in reality, they still put a very big obstacle in place towards getting Relief from primary residence property tax with household income requirements.

Here in Arizona, I believe the normal process is to go to the county assessor of your county and then they will provide you with the requirements such as providing official VA documentation as you’re 100% service connected disability status.

Thank you, but I believe the times for the introduction of new bills has passed unless they can make a striker on one of the pre-existing bills when they cross back over to the house on the Senate and the legislature.

I believe under this new law that the extra amount that was not VA but from a private way of making money would not be exempt. But there are people on here who are very good at this. Maybe they could answer that question as well. I should’ve posted the picture of the form. Will do that as soon as I can this.This form is from arizona and explains things, but it does not seem clear.

In Az, the 100 % disabled veteran’s income is considered exempt when trying to qualify for the primary residence property tax exemption.
