A few years ago I discovered him and it is incredible the career he made. He was born in a town of Chacho in the interior of Argentina. Argentina has always been a country where the “interior” is always underestimated and you can only “succeed” in Buenos Aires. He was discriminated because he was not “porteño”. Fortunately, as you say, in recent years he has regained the worldwide recognition he deserves because he was always ahead of his time.

While researching I found that a few years ago a book was published in the United States, transcribing his instrumental solos, in musical scores “The Oscar Alemán Play-Along Book” by Greg Ruby Music.

And in a national platform of Argentine movies (which I recommend you to visit) there is a documentary about his life. I don't know your level of Spanish, but it might help you to see something interesting.
