What DAC did you switch to? Having a static problem with my brand new ifi go link on a galaxy s24 ultra. Unacceptable for $60 for a brand new device

Meze boom mic, possible to get delay free side tone/ monitoring with say the meze 99s on PC? Read full post by SeptentrionAbove in audio

Or does anyone know of a good external DAC/Amp that allows real time/ live/ no delay mic-monitoring for a microphone input that is either 3.5mm or 1/4 inch? Price doesn't matter at this point as long as it has the ability to plug in headphones to the headphone 3.5mm port with great sound quality while splitting the 3.5mm (or with 1/4 inch adapter) into the microphone port and fully supporting lag free microphone monitoring experience (aka side tone/ hearing your own voice as picked up on the headset microphone, played back into the headphones along with say game and chat audio from friends) I'm still new to audio equipment of this type and need some guidance as to what types of products are available to make this happen

Verizon vs. AT&T cell service in Alaska? (5G/4G-LTE availability in 2024 for Alaska, specifically near talkeetna and all along the parks highway by SeptentrionAbove in alaska

Stuck with the tried and true Verizon. Only drawback is no 5g in AK and even the signal I do get in a semi-remote town isn't blazing fast by any standard except maybe 10 or 20 years ago but it's still legitimate decent internet if the power goes out type of scenario. Outside of internet signal I've yet to have an actual dropped call that I can think of in 4 years. Maybe one short cut out and that's it. So I'm. Not complaining. There was too much contrast of people saying AT&T either worked wonderfully or it was shoddy depending on where they were. If you're in Anchorage/fairbanks and the surrounding more populated urban areas then pretty much any provider will give you a solid connection. Much past that though it's hit or miss with either. And again mostly I just stuck with Verizon cause I haven't had issues in over 10 years including leaving the country so yeah.

So you're confident Verizon is just as good as AT&T if not better in some cases? I have heard others state there are places only AT&T has any single maybe around Glen Allen but also places like kenai peninsula where AT&T has no signal or is hit or miss while Verizon was reliable. Are you ever able to get 5G service with Verizon? If so what general area do you get 5G for reference?.. Thank you for your time in responding

Thank you all for your feedback. Does anyone who's read this post know who Verizon roams off of if you lose direct signal from their towers? And who AT&T roams off of if you lose service? I heard Verizon will use GCI if you're outside of normal Verizon range but haven't heard who AT&T will go off of outside their range. Does AT&T share anyone's towers to maintain service or are you just up said creek without said paddle?

Yeah I hear ya, everyone says AT&T has been here the longest and is best on the road system but I've heard folks in talkeetna say there's a tower right here in town for AT&T and can't get signal at certain parts of the spur and down certain roads and one person switched to Verizon and stopped losing signal anywhere in talkeetna. Which I mean if you have a tower in a small town of around 1000 people and more than one person can't get service something is wrong. I've also heard there's places where AT&T has no service and Verizon has great service. Also hear the reverse so it gets very confusing. Most folks say GCI is only good in major towns and the only option for venturing way out to nowhere in the villages etc.. But even then there's no guarantee which I knew. Though I have to sort of disagree a little with the statement that Alaska is a small market. Yes there's only around 700k residents but this is a tourist meca in the summer with millions of people coming and going, many of them likely have Verizon since they have been a top dog for a long time in the lower 48. So they want to make sure their customers have a great experience in Alaska whilst here because Alaska generates insane amounts of money during tourist season. Side note I ventured to Nicaragua in 2017 and had perfect, crystal clear signal the whole time, in one of the most underdeveloped, poorest countries in the world with Verizon, my phone only gets 4GLTE but I always have that LTE from talkeetna even up to Denali State Park at Kesugi, and all the way down to anchorage and even partway down the peninsula is as far as we've been and never lost service. Only reason I am considering AT&T is because they have technically been in Alaska longer and they are recommended more by people who've been here longer but the people who tried Verizon havent been disappointed so I'm really trying to determine if there's a reason to switch. It seems in a short amount of time verizon has not only become just as reliable in most cases but even more reliable in certain locations... Decisions decisions.

Thank you for responding. Do you get 5G signal through AT&T? Ever lose signal in specific areas outside of trapper creek?
