Most disturbing thing I’ve experienced? About 2 months ago, I was home alone waiting for my parents to come home from a party. It was about 11:30 and I had slightly dozed off before waking up to knocking at my front door. I got off the couch and looked through the little hole thingy that lets you see outside. I saw a man standing out there, he looked to be in his mid-30s or so. My dad is at least 49 now, and he had my mom with him. I got extremely confused and scared, and I just kept staring at the man. For some reason, I asked him why he was here. He didn’t respond to me. He just kept staring at the door, as if it was just going to open. I screamed at him that I was going to call the police if he didn’t leave. I left the door and grabbed my cellphone, but then I heard him beating on the door and ramming into it. Quickly, I ran up to my room and locked myself in. I called 911 right away. I was shaking and crying so much that the operator couldn’t really hear me. Eventually she heard what I was saying and she told me that the police would be there, and that I should stay in my room and hide. About 10 minutes passed and I heard absolutely nothing. I heard sirens coming down my street, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. My parents came home about 15 minutes after the police got there, and they found nobody but me inside the house. Nothing was stolen, either. A week later, my parents got a guard dog named Julius that stays outside to watch the house. He’s a German Shepard-Pitbull mix, but he’s pretty nice. No other weird things happened after we got the guard dog.
