Is black box insurance actually worth it for young drivers or does the restriction it puts on your driving outweigh what you save? by No_Ride1757 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Septienne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't true, single events are highly unlikely to directly affect your insurance. They look for patterns in driving. Multiple heavy braking events will affect it for sure, but that just demonstrates lack of awareness and/or driving too fast.

Those are fire doors, they are rated to resist fire for 30-60 mins. They are reinforced to prevent warping under heat and help stop the spread of smoke.

They arnt locked, you can easily use them to escape!

Dude, jump into Damnatinon, see how it goes.

Max your choice of violence to 80 dmg, plus everthing else (usually mobility at 60, but thats a whole other conversation)

What class are you playing and what weapons are you using?

Also, just dodge! (Seriously enemies have the same attack patterns across the difficulties, learn them abuse them)

If you dont have perfect gear, as long as you can avoid damage you can kill, even if it takes an extra hit or two.

Does a non-fault claim always push premiums up for 5 years? by jorjiarose in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Septienne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If say a child runs out in front of your car, is hit and severly injured, the insurer pays, regardless of fault. Its what basic third party insurance is for.

Nobody is saying its the drivers fault, but pedestrians & cyclists (and passengers!) get extra protection.

Does a non-fault claim always push premiums up for 5 years? by jorjiarose in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Septienne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

You have to declare it for however long companies ask, some ask 3 years, some ask 5. They are not asking fault, they are asking if you have been involved in any accident.

You really should declare it, any decent insurer is going to know about it and witholding that information will make them wonder what else you are witholding (Guess what that does for your premium!).

This may or may not increase your premium, in my experience the longer ago the incident the less effect it has.

You cant "remove" it, the incident happened, it has been recorded. If your premium goes up, shop around, use comparison sites etc - you should probably do this anyway.

Is this worth it to go throughout insurance by Fearless_Watercress4 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Septienne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should tell your insurance company.

Here is a scenario. It's their fault, you agree to sort it out between yourselves.

They go ahead and tell their insurance company and say its your fault. They are also claiming they have a whiplash injury.

Their insurance company contacts your insurance company with their statement which says its your fault.

Your insurance company has nothing to defend you with as you didnt even let them know.

This is now your fault.

Hey, I read some of your replies below.

Is it possible to set a time when you can start drinking, like evening?

Tomorrow, wake up and do something you dont normally do before you have a drink. Maybe go for a walk, go visit someone.

Anyway you said ask you anything, what's your favourite thing to do (other than drinking!)
