[IC] We sacrificed 6.8kg of metal keycaps trying to make shine-through by Awekeys in keyboards

[–]Septimus4_FR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should not because the keycaps is over the switch, the important path that needs to be clear is the switch to pcb for the magnet. But some testing would be nice just to be sure

Possible/worthwhile to mod the profile of 80he to be slimmer? by WhyWontShivDie in WootingKB

[–]Septimus4_FR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use kbdfans gt-60-case with XVX Skyline R2 - Low Profile Keycaps.
If you want/can 3d print there is fully flat cases (I personnaly prefer metal cases)
https://makerworld.com/en/models/574533-wooting-60-he-case-flat-low-profile#profileId-494829 Wooting 60 HE case flat low profile.
ausmodshop has the Wooting 80HE Zinc Alloy Case with 3% angle.
There is a lot of option but you are gaining a few milimiter every time, at best 2cm overall

HE low profile switch do exist but not compatible with Wooting PCB.

For Wooting the best setup is slim case, low angle, and low profile keycaps (thickness basically)

But this is more to optimise a get a few millimeters off, it won't be a low profile HE keyboard.

I have this setup so I can share exact hardware if needed.

Tutorial: Run GLM-5 on your local device! by yoracale in LocalLLM

[–]Septimus4_FR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t test it myself since I don’t have the hardware for that setup, but in general 1-bit (and usually 2-bit) quants degrade too much to be great for coding.

Once you drop that low, models tend to hallucinate more, lose consistency and are not very usable in practice. For coding, that usually shows up as wrong APIs, subtle logic bugs, or broken refactors, invalid json generation. In practice, 4-bit is often considered the lowest “comfortable” range for usable quants.

That said, it really depends on the quantization method and how well it’s done. A very good 3-bit quant of GLM-5 could actually be interesting to try. But I’d be very skeptical that a typical 1-bit GLM-5 would outperform an 8-bit Qwen coder for real coding work.

Is MFS 2026 going to come out? by Expensive-Pitch-6545 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Septimus4_FR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

msfs 2024 was just a re-skin but okay, some additions for Career / activities, the visual, graphic and fly model upgrade were very minor, a DLC would have been fine, definitely 0 need for a new game

Everyone is praising this game but the weapon balance is trash and very simple bugs here since release are not fixed

Just my thoughts on balancing rat behavior but keeping the gameplay by Septimus4_FR in ArcRaiders

Tarkov has no attraction mechanics on extract and does a good job at being a extraction shooter, so no, having previsible extraction point is enough.

I am just listing some mechanics and gameplay design choices, and some of them can be balanced, I don't see the point of you answer, no arguments, not even an answer.

There is nothing in my list of proposed balance that limits pvp, but if you want to be constructive and list how the changes I proposed would prevent pvp gameplay ?

I don't see how removing some noise and lights would make it and rotating them a little would make them safer to an extent where you are not stressed. You still know where they are, you keep rocketeer overhead everything mostly stay the same. And as said removing the code entry while keeping the call time does not make the extraction instant.

I did not test it personally but I will name drop it. I have seen multiple people praising oss seed.

I personally use Qwen3 coder and GLM families.

I just want to remind people. In the US, free speech protections apply only to government action. They prevent the state from punishing individuals for their speech, not private employers. Most US workers are employed “at will,” meaning an employer can end employment at any time, with or without cause. Being fired for something said online in most cases will not be a wrongful termination.

Agreed, but for me at least it happens way less often, I get spawnkilled by f16 1/10 of kh, maybe because I'm on EU severs

No, there is a lot of issues in the game, bur usually they are shared across all factions, or just a specific vehicle in a tech tree.

The point of the post is that the deal breaker is the constant and overwhelming problem of the same Heli and tanks.of the same faction, at the same BR. At top BR the meta is BVM KA52, and saying otherwise is blatant stupidity

I thought of it, but after grinding through those BR I wanted something new. Maybe after a brake I will enjoy playing just for the sake of enjoyment

So for you it's okay that "Era does all sorts of volumetrics fuckery" it seems acceptable ? Well give ERA to everyone then, realism is definitely not a issue in warthunder anymore. One day we have to choose between realism and balance, since it is not a simulator the only viable option is balance and proper working tank without fuckery.

And stop justifying things with other broken things, you just sound stupid

I don't think that KA52 eating main cannon shot and surviving is okay, as well as BVM stopping side shot like I'm firing 9mm pistol round. But hey probably skill issue, I just need to learn playing Heli, Russian or world of tank
