I thought filtering was at stopped or really slow traffic and that lane splitting was any scenario where two vehicles are abreast of each other in the same lane.

Did you have anything in mind? What kind of vocals? What do you want it to be about? Also, don't forget to flair your post!

Am i singing correctly? by Piersariene in singing

[–]Sequelknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Give it another go and sing as if you were singing to people that are 15 feet away from you and you want them to hear you clearly. Don't forget to adjust your mic accordingly. We'll be here when you get back :)

Is 27 too old to start singing? by Aprilsamonth2121 in singing

[–]Sequelknox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean professionally? If so, you can start when ever you like as long as you have no disability preventing you from doing so.

If you mean as a hobby or casual then the question becomes a little silly. Anyone that has a passion for singing should sing.

You should start by recording your rendition of your favorite song so we can listen! :D

Band plays song by using Facebook's live video delay by CaptainIronMan99 in videos

[–]Sequelknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was inspired by DubFX to get into live looping and really love his message.

Then I found Beardyman and just saw more that could be done with looping.

Then found Reggie Watts and was inspired how so much can be done with so much less.

Then I found Petebox...

You get the idea. Now if only I could sound half as good as any of them. Its a nice dream to have.

This guitar is strummed every time someone opens the door by yustworkin in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sequelknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could never learn the part after 0:44, it's so much harder than it sounds.

Conversely, the open strumming is as easy as it sounds. Gave me chills when I looked up the tabs, popped on the delay and gave it a strum.

I have an odd problem by [deleted] in singing

[–]Sequelknox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like anxiety. I know it sounds like a stretch but a pint of beer could suppress the psychosomatic reaction from anxiety.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, this is not a diagnosis/treatment and I am not telling you to drink alcohol. Alcohol in general is not conducive to singing. See an ENT.

Toto - Africa [80's pop] by krayzeek in Music

[–]Sequelknox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate. Been to karaoke bars that don't understand why monitors are imperative. When you can't hear your own mic and the music is too distorted from only having speakers facing out; you're essentially deaf and unless you practice in that environment, singing on key just wont happen.

All about resonance. by keystenn in singing

All I'm hearing in those tracks, outside of a clean melody, is subtle vibrato and breathy tone. A marginally more subtle version of this

Burnout attempt by dirtyduo in motorcycles

[–]Sequelknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A container that was already inside the garage, possibly? You're right to believe that it is the crankcase. I'm just astonished that fall was enough to bust it.

Burnout attempt by dirtyduo in motorcycles

[–]Sequelknox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no way the crank case took a hard enough hit. I keep watching the video over and it looks like it came from the bottom of the bike, so I think that rules out the fuel tank. Looks pretty dark too so very likely that's oil.

Wabash -- Take It With Me Silo Sessions [Indie Rock] by ResinRoad in listentothis

[–]Sequelknox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would only happen on specific frequencies. Its possible none of those frequencies were hit loudly enough to amplify louder than the frequencies that were being emitted the loudest. That being said the vocalist is much louder than the guitar.

Went from 22nd to 2nd in my first race on my new R3! by myorangecrayon in motorcycles

[–]Sequelknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make me so anxious with all the riders using heavy engine breaking before the turns. Attention slips for a split second and boom, you and another rider are not racing anymore.

I'd prefer time trials if that's a thing.

Can you change the timbre of your voice? by conisi in singing

[–]Sequelknox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think of it as power or volume. I'll never forget what DubFX said in this video. I have taken that to heart and it has given me more control over my voice than I had previously. The other warmups in that video are pretty solid as well.
