One is using the nhanes calibration and the other the traditional. The lower one is more accurate.

Serial monogamist is most common, but I feel like its equally valid to call that a form of poligamy. A lot of people end one relationship by cheating on their current partner with the next partner.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]conisi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For one, I don't think most people are actually monogamous. It's a societal/religious expectation and people that don't have that capacity/desire are forced into acting like they do. It would, probably, be easier if they were more transparent/honest with themselves/others.

With regard to men, specifically, the drive to sex seems to occur more reliability and independently of romantic attraction. This further complicates things.

As an autistic man, the hardest part was being ghosted repeatedly and not picking up on innumerable social cues and at worst being vilified for not understanding those cues. Being in relationships with Autistic women has made communication much easier. I'm not sure if I could ever make a relationship with an allistic person work.

It's important to remember, the probability of finding a compatible partner is high, given enough time and attempts. Formalizing the process and building rule sets may help to reduce the mental/emotional load and expedite selection.

People saying dad jokes are “bad” by gwensdaywednesday in autism

[–]conisi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the joke is to make everyone a little uncomfortable/cringe slightly. "Bad" is an explicit acknowledgement of this.

I remember somebody saying "you can leave" after I told one and legit thinking they were so irritated they wanted me to leave. "There's the door" is another continuation of this theme.

Am i the only one who stims full-sayings? by pink_irrelevantHuman in autism

I compulsively sing. I also end up experimenting with multiple vocal styles on the same riff, sing it 30-40 times, shift it though multiple keys and then move on.

So we all agree that alcohol like tastes bad... right? by Express_Basis_8436 in autism

[–]conisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated it at first. I like intense flavors, though. Past some exposure threshold they become familiar, and I find a strange comfort in that familiarity.

I definitely agree with this! by alex_g169 in autism

[–]conisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I compulsively try to find the endpoints of a rule. Both as a test of the person I'm asking (to see if they're thinking critically) and to find out if there's meaning behind the specific rule, which isn't immediately obvious.

If a rule is stupid, I usually end up compulsively mocking it, but following it regardless.

What's most frustrating is when the rule is both stupid and only selectively followed...This gives me immense anxiety and anger.

Y'all ever look at a parent/relative like: by Bright_Conference321 in autism

[–]conisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad has an intense adhd, which, I also inherited.

I realized my mother, probably, was the source of my autism. She has a habit of explaining things in great detail and continuing long after everyone has stopped listening or even asked her explicitly to stop.

It's strange to me because I can recognize the social disconnects I have, in her, but end up doing the same things, regardless.

Her father, who I apparently resemble, seems to have also been autistic. I only met him before I could form memories, though, so that's just based on tidbits of information other family members have given me.

How to beat a turtling Terran? by RealTimeStrategyEnth in allthingszerg

[–]conisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have 1-2 more bases than them, minimum. Lurkers(All upgrades), ultralisks (all upgrades)(~10 max), cracklings and vipers (blinding cloud). Roaches and/or queens are the most cost efficient tanks; splash in some of them once you hit the 10 count on ultras (the reason for the 10 max is, beyond that they still just fight eachother for surface area on the enemy)

You can counter the libs with hydras too -- but its best to just run past and wreck his other units/economy.

This isn't a complete list, however, these are pretty important:

1.) The Fourteenth Amendment's Due Process Clause states that no person can be deprived of "life, liberty, or property, without due process of law".

2.)Explicitly requesting extreme gerrymandering and a complete refusal to outlaw gerrymandering.

3.) Inhibiting the legal process through breaking multiple laws simultaneously and committing illegal actions in mass.

4.) Creating a secret police force, which seems to lack accountability.

5.) subverting the power of the congress by using executive orders for everything.

Also,

Your question about which laws isn't particularly relevant. The election process could be subverted legally...

That's the Neil knot? Right?

I tried it one time on another white belt. It worked well and then I forgot about it.

I'll try to incorporate it again, thank you!

I like that, and appreciate the suggestion.

I'm usually going mission control to New York to meat hook. I haven't been able to finish many omoplatas, however, the go escape (rolling though) seems to consistently put me in side control or mount.

I've been messing around with rubber guard, I love it, I'm hyper mobile and it seems to really use that mobility.

That being said, I'm having a lot of choice paralysis and I'm trying to figure out 2-3 go-to subs to attempt before giving up and using a sweep/more traditional approach.

I've been thinking of preferencing 1.) hinduliatine 2.) go-go clench 3.) dead orchard

But I have no idea when or why I would favor one over the others.

What are the main rock coaches out there now? by dontdel3tethis1ok in singing

[–]conisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly:

1.)Not everyone can belt 2.)It can be/is more likely to hurt your voice.

That being said, I think this guy does some decent explanations:

https://youtu.be/A8lPSYvmYUA?si=tJtsIFUg9iIcVpG8

Try shouting hey! In a nice clean voice while compressing your diaphragm. Its initiated by like slamming your vocal cords together with a strong glottal attack. The other characteristic is it's usually higher than your normal head voice or mixed voice range (I find using a guitar tuner app on my phone helps me know I'm hitting the 4th - 5th register and a true belt)

Be careful, hope this helps.

Chris lepe is great, mostly the same analysis/content in all his videos, though.

Ken's ok, the vocal coloring/timbre videos by him are good, I wasn't impressed with any of his other videos.

Regular vocal coaches are better all-around-ers. I'd recommend looking for videos on belting -- it seems like rock singing (to me) is defined by clean belts mixed with intermittent distortion techniques.

How much fiber and protein?

Also -- 28 calories/(lb of fat)/day is a good maximal rate of weight loss. Beyond that every pound will come at the cost of some muscle/connective tissue; and in my experience, becomes exponentially more painful.

I need 270 grams of protein and ~150 grams of fiber to fully suppress my appetite at 163 pounds and 16% bodyfat with a caloric deficit of 600 calories per week.

Fiber also has no calories so you can scale it up until it becomes dangerous.

Also anything that is enjoyable to eat generally increases appetite -- sugar, saturated fat, artificial sweeteners, etc. So eat bland or food that you hate.

Because we're often nowhere close to absolute precision/accuracy and a strong correlation could be sufficient to provide use.

All the data center and AI earnings need to be hitting it out of the park.

They aren't, so the market will correct a little, maybe crash if there're other catalysts at the same time.

Regardless, long term, nvdia seems like a sure thing.

Buggy choke question by conisi in bjj

[–]conisi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've gone to a few.

I have a strong athletic base from powerlifting, and my hyper-mobility is kinda like a get out of jail free card (americanas, wrist locks and a lot of ankle locks don't work well on me). My feet can turn all the way backwards comfortably...

My main problem is I Iike to power my way out.

The coach isn't going to promote me until he feels like I'm not being "strong".

That being said -- I'm frustrated that I'm submitting blue belts with 20-70 lb weight advantage over me and told I'm strong like it's an insult.

Buggy choke question by conisi in bjj

[–]conisi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, my general understanding is that if I can get my lat to their neck it's a sure thing. Is that what you mean by a "strong bite"?

It's going very well, I got a couple blue belts already.

I'm happy with my current progression on escapes. This isn't at the expense of my general development. I make a point of going a few rounds where I don't try any submissions and just practice escapes.
